Actually that is called Killer or Thirteen. It is not originated only in China. It is also originated in Vietnam and Japan. There is an American version of it too. Depending what style you play it varies and the rules are different.
Also writinglover story are getting better each time
Why? Because being an immigrant to America myself and growing up in rural India, I can relate to the frustrations and lifestyle of going day to day hungry and starving..Additionally it promotes the idea of self-sufficiency, which is great for the giver! Thank you sherry for highlighting an important issue.
austinhealy is a prolific storyteller who finds wonderful old paintings to illustrate his pages. I picked this short story as an example of his fine and sensitive talent. It is a lovely and inspiring human interest story about a father who finds a way to bring joy to his dying boy. Without further ado: 'The Power of Two' http://austinhealy.hubpages.com//hub/Th … ed-by-life
I read snakeslane's poetry samplings and found them very intimate and sincere, but also kind of playful. She has a knack for prose and you should check "Fragments from the letter I've been writing myself" http://snakeslane.hubpages.com/hub/lolligagging-around
Just reading Andy's profile made me laugh. Then I read his very serious piece on marriage and divorce in our time and his analysis is spot-on, along what I've been thinking myself for years. A clear and perceptive account of a sad reality. A must read, if I may say : http://andymcguire.hubpages.com/hub/The … n-Marriage
What a wonderful story about the gift of giving and helping someone. I had recently learned that helping someone is more pleasurable than sex! Research has shown the act of giving is a continuing returning pleasure for the brain and it makes life more enjoyable and pleasurable. Reading this only validated what I had read before.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for that 'better than sex' recommendation of my hub, expertscolumn!!! Ha ha ha ha! I very much appreciate the vote. The research is indeed fascinating.
i recommend this hub by writinglover: A Flower's Beginning: A Fan-Made Anime Story. would be great to see an extended version. It is possible that one exists, but I was totally attracted by the cherry blossom! http://writinglover.hubpages.com/hub/Yakuza-Beginnings

This was an awesome hub by Winterfate. If someone put me down, I would run circles around them and kick their butts in a 'friendly' game of "Tekken." LOL!
I just read some of Vacation Trips "Places to visit" articles (there's a lot of them). I thought I'd share my favorite one. I look forward to seeing one on Los Angeles! http://vacationtrip.hubpages.com/hub/Pl … l-to-Visit
I recommend this hub by Rob Winters on Progressive Muscle Relaxation. It is easy to learn and it works instantly to relieve stress and tension. I've used it for years with my clients during counseling sessions. http://robwinters.hubpages.com/_2eao4rz … xation-PMR
Thanks Janis.Always particularly good to get endorsement from someone with experience in a given area.PMR is indeed a proven and very doable practice that can benefit almost everyone that gives it a try.
Post them in here. Please don't post them in other threads, or start multiple threads for individual hubs, as it will quickly fill up the sub-forum and make it harder for people to offer advice when help is being sort. So, post links in this thread. Nowhere else. Thanks!
