I am a patient and normally easy going person. But a couple of comments on my hub have been irritating.
I'm not out for religious discussions but Gods this torques my pentacle.
Sorry. Just needed to vent a little before I move on.
"I'm not out for religious discussions but Gods this torques my pentacle."
oh no how can we help. What have they put that has upset you so
I am wiccan. Apparently I am "wrong". This is why I stay out of those forums.
Ahhhh, you got their superstitious, self-righteous side going. Good for you. Remember their comments are always far more about revealing who *they* are rather than who you are. You are fine. They feel threatened. You hold all the power, my dear. Their comments could really just be meaningless, I think.
I think what really saddens me is the impression of narrow sightedness. There is a huge big world out there with so much to offer and they can't or won't embrace it.

I put a spell on you

And I dont care
If you dont want me

You hear me
I put a spell on you
Because youre mine
Tis brave to venture in that topic even if jus on the outskirts shall we gather the other gals n play double dutch now tis recess!
I can imagine!! you just have to remember everyone has very different opinions and beliefs about life, especially anything religious. sometimes I wonder how people live with so much bias and judgment in their lives. people need to learn and respect religious tolerance.
They so don't want me to get started. I might resort to whacking with the wand.
I have found that people are fundamentally afraid of that which they don't understand. it's called ignorance. keep writing about what you are passionate about!
Gemsong, as one Neo-Pagan to another, that's what the delete and spam buttons are for.
And if someone is making a personal attack on you and they are registered with the site, file a report with admin.
yeah delete those annoying comments. you have a record of them in your email inbox and if you get enough of them HubPages can deal with them. i do not allow negativity on my hub comments at all. sorry they did that to you...i know how annoying that can be.
i think it would be better if some one did not agree with a hub to just pass it by, maybe even just say it is well written as yours was. It is a subject that some people will not like, you must have known that when you wrote it....
You can't do anything about other people's narrow-mindedness, all you can do if you want to, is zap 'em...with the deny button, I mean.
You keep on keeping on. Others need to just move on if they can't practice the harm none theory.
hey gemstrong, don't lose your cool....they just aren't worth it. I write about war refugees and taliban...so the other day, I actually got death threats if I didn't stop....! i just deleted the post and played some music to calm me down...
Think of it this way:
How many wars has Religion started?
How many wars has Religion prevented?
No surprises, just be glad your not in Salem...Early America!
I mix it up a lot in the political forums, but I avoid the Religous ones.....too volatile. Its amazing because Religion is supposed to be about love, peace, etc.
Look at the bright side, your views have been challenged. Thats really the only way you can be sure of what you believe.
"torques my pentacle" jajajajaja
You should say really nice things back to them. It usually confuses people into silence
You rock, zadrobi. I'm so with you on this one.
I do that when people flip me off on the highway...I wave and smile, there is a moment of confusion on their part, then they smile and wave back!(sometimes) When they do...well thats when I return the original gesture!LMAO Its wrong, I know, but its soo dam funny!LOL

Wow. This is the first time I've read this forum category, and I swear my blood pressure has got to be twice as high as it was before I started reading. I'm banning myself from this entire topic. It's sad, because I had some ideas I wanted to share from a liberal and inclusive...

I still think comments should be comments, not discussions, that is the purpose of a forum. Maybe it would be a good idea that every author has a forum automatically made in a widget on there profile page and the topics are always the title of the Hub. That way you can discuss it and always edit...

Hi, I received the following message in a comment left yesterday on my Hub about dog diapers (on PetHelpful site)I don't know if this article is useful thanks to the pop up that couldn't be removed covering half my screen asking me "How good is this article?" - counter-productive to say...

Note to anyone who read any of my Hubs since I joined five days ago. I did not realize I needed to add a comment section for people to comment to my Hubs. Sorry about that, my bad. I went and added comment sections to the Hubs (I think I did this to all of them) so if you want to tell me why I was...

I am having a slight problem with an unverified person posting on one of my hubs. I am not sure if he/she simply has a screw loose, or if they are just trying to be a pain, but over the last few days they have posted on my Vegetable Growing in Containers hub about 8 times under various names,...

I've never had this happen much before: readers (not fellow hubbers) are leaving strange comments that have nothing to do with the hub topic. They're not leaving links, so how are the comments a benefit to the commenters? Strange!
