What is your main reason for writing on Hubpages or any other site?
Do you write because its fun for your? Are you putting material on a website to try to make extra money? Do you just like knowing people are reading what you publish? Or are you just venting?
The main reason I write on Hubpages is simply for fun. I write about topics that interest me and hopefully capture the attention of others. But now that I have made a little money I think it is even more fun!
Strictly for fun. I know I'm probably never going to make decent money off my writings for this site, I'm just a geek who loves B-movies and heavy metal music who wants to share my obsessions with others.
All of the above. It's just words on a screen. I go with my 'flow'. If it attract readers, I get enthusiastic and want to write more. Less readers, low scores, I won't write as much.
I have thought about becoming more serious about writing however. But I don't feel I know enough about HubPages to do it. I also try to stay away from 'negative' hubbers. I respond to constructive criticism, not harsh words.
I write for other sites as well. It's mostly Q & A though. I feel that HubPages is the only site I can write articles and gain ideas for every day life. I have to admit though, I enjoy reading and commenting more than hubbing. My inspiration comes in spurts what can I say?
I write for a mix of all of those reasons! I sincerely enjoy sharing my own thoughts, life experiences, and interesting perspectives with a large audience. As the owner of a tutoring company, freelance writer, and acquisitions editor, most of my work is online writing articles, connecting with others on social networks, researching my exciting ideas, and much, much more.
I'm shocked at how naturally I fell into these positions and how much I enjoy them. I'm very grateful and love HP for the support it offers.
mostly to learn to be a better writer, I don't expect to make a lot off of this site but I do believe that learning to write well online can help me elsewhere.
When I started it was for money but now I've realised how much I enjoy it and have discovered I do have a brain and can write. If I can make money even better.
The joy of writing, creating vision with words, has been my inspiration to write anywhere since I first learned what is possible in putting pen to paper; age about five.
I'm working on a novel, a web serial, and as many hubs as I can church out simply because I think if I were to stop writing I would die.
In polishing my writing, I have joined Hub Pages for the exposure. Inspiration to keep writing comes from the comments and great advice given here. I write for fun, but I especially hope to write something someday that will help make a difference in the lives of others.

Technologically, it is no match for HubPages really. Things don't align properly, the user interface is far from clear and you cannot put an item in a collection by editing it - you have to go to profile >...
