With my ugly mug on my profile I'm likely to get a couple of Pals, however if I updated the photo with a picture of a busty young lady, would I get more pals? *grin* Is this a sexist question or what?

  Put up a sexy picture of a scanitly clad female and your fans will come flocking in.
  
  Holier than thou types will often respond by saying ...'yeah but, it's not the picture that attracts me it's the quality of your hubs, your writing style... yadda yadda yadda'. While this argument may carry weight for some, it does not apply to the majority.
  
  So lose the glasses, grow longer hair, sprout some heaving bosoms and paint your lips a luscious red and observe as your fan total reaches epidemic proportions.

  I did this once as an experiment. I adopted the image of Miss Philippines 2007 to see what happened. I got alot of interest, but mainly propositions and proposals from blokes. Some of them where most forward. One was especially taken, and started writing to me besotted. I had to come clean in the end, and say "look! I'm just a bearded guy who wears a panama hat!" I never heard from him again. Shame. It Could have developed into a wonderful relationship.

  So, your concept of respect is to be encouraging and supportive, say good things about peoples hubs and generally be an all round nice girl? Nothing wrong with that. This concept of respect will be shared by many wannabe's.
  
  However, showing respect does not need to be sugar coated in this fashion. Being brutally honest is also a form of respect. If that does not fit with your concept of respect then you need to broaden your understanding of what resoect is. Respect is not about being nice and agreeing with everything you say.

  It's not about being perceived as vacuous - pretty girl, firm ripe breats, dumb brain - it's about using it as a business tool. There is a modus operandi at work in using a hot picture to attract visitors.
  
  Indian men hide behind attractive indian females as a way of luring you to their hubs. Look around you, there is an explosion of hubs feature bollywood actresses / models in varying states of undress. Having an ugly fat Indian male as your avatar pic would be counter productive to your agenda of drawing people to view your hubs.
  
  Even your avatar is a fake representation. What does that say about you?

  Do you not have the confidence to reveal your true identity? Are you suffering from ugly-phobia? This is a condition that many female writers fall foul of, but i doubt you're female.
  
  Your sheep avatar is a meek image. Sheep represent a lack of identity (blindly following the flock). Not a good first impression.
