How to gain more traffic to recipe hubs.

My hubs are recipes--does anyone have a suggestion on how to expand recipes and make them more attractive? The hubpages blog suggests that the longer the hub, the more traffic that will be drawn to that hub.

You could try adding pictures and video of you cooking and preparing the recipe.Good luck!

Search recipes before you do the hubs. Try to find ones no one else has already posted. You can try adding words like I did to a few. Examples are Northern Michigan Pasties. If I would have used just Pasties it wouldn't get any views at all.

I haven't had a lot of success with recipes. There are just too many on the web already. If you have a certain niche like Chinese dishes etc, you might do better.

Be sure to list it on Pinterest. If you have a nice photo, they like them there. Sign-up and share them on Redgage.

Be sure to take photos of each step that you use while doing the recipe yourself. Readers love these type of hubs. You might also consider a hub that involves cooking with a certain type of food and then having several recipes.

Maybe as it was suggested, add more pictures?  Maybe more content on how it tastes and recommendations, etc.?

jaydawg808...I'm not much of a photographer (and have a crumby camera to boot), but I'll try to add more text on tastes and recommendations. Thank you for your suggestions.

Hi Carb Diva, great looking recipes. Add "How to Make" or "How to Cook" in front of your titles. If your titles reflect they way people search, you increase your chances of them finding your articles.

Thank you janshares. That's pretty easy to do and I can see how that might help.

An interesting idea would be to include a step by step procedure of your recipe that should also improve traffic, recipes require a full explanation all in detail

I agree with what janshares and msshandriaball said plus add a step by step instruction for easy following of your recipe.

I add step by step pictures to all my recipe hubs but the key thing is the title. Your title should be catchy & something which other's have not posted yet as mentioned by janshares in her comment.

I try to add some text to my recipe hubs like explaining where I got it, how much my family likes it and why the reader should try it.

Diana Lee - I do that too. But perhaps I could explain a bit more. Thank you for the suggestion.
