Since the stats or views on new hubs appear to be frozen, should we hold off on publishing a new hub

Should we hold off on publishing new hubs since the stats seem to be frozen, and with that other issue of views "Ever" are dropping in lieu of rising, until these problems are fixed?

Faith,  You aren't the only Hubber asking that question.  I have noticed that when the Hub stats counter is broken (which is far too often these days), the number of published Hubs drops noticeably.  Not that it should matter, but it is nice to know how your work is doing, and without the counter, people seem less motivated.

Hi Rock_nj, thanks for the answer, as I truly want to know the answer to this before publishing another hub.

I have one I have to post tomorrow. My score is dropping already. Seems odd though everyone's score doesn't drop! lol

It does!  Right now, it's the actually views that were there, and now they are gone!  On my latest two hubs that were published the stats are frozen as there have been comments, but the views are frozen.  Hopefully, it will be fixed soon!

Earning money from Hubs is a long term endeavour.  HubPages has said it can take up to three years for a Hub to reach its full earnings potential.  In view of that, losing a few views in the first few days is completely irrelevant.

Hi Marisa, thanks for answering.  Good viewpoint from the aspect of making money, if one writes to do so.

Well, I did think about it, but I don't know how long the stats are going to be stuck and I need to get my Hubs out there as soon as possible because it can take so long for them to mature. It's not today's traffic I'm after. It's next week's, next month's and next year's.

Hi Georgie, thanks for answering!  They are still stuck this day it seems, but I see your point there.  Great answer!

I know it's frustrating not being able to see stats but it should not determine whether you publish or not. Hubs still get featured if they pass the quality assessment even when stats are frozen. Remember it's all about long term views.

Hello WorkAtHomeMums, I am just thinking about the score not moving up due to the frozen stats is all, and that harming the performance of the hub?  Not sure if that is exactly how it works.  You do have a good point as well.

I can't answer for anyone else, but my Hub production does NOT depend on the stats counter.  The stats will get squared away sooner or later, but a day lost Publishing is a day lost Forever.

Hi Ghost32,  yes, you are so right about that!  Thanks for answering, and it looks like the views are possibly fixed now!
