   What The hell Is wrong with this traffic?!
   
   I have been on here for nearly four years, and its never been this bad! What I don't understand is that a couple of weeks ago it went up tripple! Seems I am being punished for that or something. Am I the only one? Has your traffic gone down so badly? I have lost two thirds! Down from the normal 1,500 a day to 550! Help, any ideas? Thanks!

   What's google analytics saying?
   
   Have your hubs lost rankings in the serps? Are your hubs mostly seasonal?
   Also, so cool that you've featured on Derren Brown's website. Huge fan of that guy.

      Yes that Derren brown thing was by pure accident! so little toe rag stole my hub and gave it to derren to put on his site! he put it there, so I went bazooka and told him, he said what the? so to speak, and put a few of mine on there then! lol!

   Hey Nell.....I cannot tell a lie.   I do not nor have I ever kept tabs on anything.....which includes "traffic".   I'm just an aimless wanderer, roaming the hi-ways & bi-ways, bumping into things and stopping now & then to ask for directions....which I either can't or won't follow anyway.
   Doesn't traffic change continually all the time?  Don't despair my friend,,,,,"this too shall pass."  Right?
   BTW....WHO is Derron Brown?

   Hi Nell. I've never seen that kind of traffic (yet) so I'm grateful for the steady I have. My current goal IS to hit that 500 mark per day on a consistent basis. So, I guess it's all relative. Are all of your older hubs updated? I understand that Google likes articles with the most recent dates. That might get your traffic going again if that's the case. Check to see what the ratio is between recently published hubs and hubs with dates one year and older. Just a thought.

   Don't know about Derrin Brown but congrats there Nell. The scuttlebutt on Dynamo is he we picked on in school and swore he'd get 'em all back by blowing their minds, figuratively speaking. So,according to neighbors on his small English town, he one day disappeard into the woods for several weeks and on returning he began to demo his new found magkical powrs. Some believe he conjured up other entites like the Djin or other like entitys to help him succeed to fame, yes ,hackneyed to some, but there it is.
   
   As far as the Panda roller coaster ride Nell, it bugs the heck out of me that
   fine and unique writers like your self this is happening too. My 35 or so hubs have been hit hard by this update for the first time in 4 yours. Maybe they'll recover, maybr not. The good news is the blogs have taken off like never before, so, it makes me wonder if writing sites are being penalized and independents, advertisers,  and business' not so much? Time will tell.

      Hubbers like Randy Godwin and janshares are good examples that the downturns aren't across the board ,though, Nell. We'll figure it out:)

      Thanks Alastar, and yes Dynamo is amazing! I love watching him! I was just having a moan, its a long time ago that my stats were that low, but hey it doesn't matter really, thanks as always.

   Is that drop just recently or have you noticed it every year? The change in traffic at this time could be due to it being summertime - readers slacking off because they are doing other things, etc.

   The exact same thing happened to me last summer. And when summer ended, traffic picked up again and got even better than before. Might just be the summer doldrums.

   I don't know either but mine has dropped off pretty dramatically. About 1/3. Feeling pretty down about it so I have been off promoting, promoting, promoting in hopes of a quick jump. I'm sorry to hear about your traffic and I hope it gets better for both of us.

    Hey Nell,
    
    Is it just one hub your talking about or your overall views? Also my traffic is up as of the last 2 weeks compared to the rest of the year! Could it be the topic of your hub/hubs that they don't relate much to summertime, college, or seasons during the time period? Did you use Google Analytics for at least 2 years? Check this time period last year to make sure the hubs at that time are preforming the same then as now, if not there could be a problem but most likely wont be! My latest stream of traffic is mostly from Pintrest, that kind of traffic takes off and skyrockets for a little bit then drops to almost nothing, maybe thats what your experiencing!

    I have actually found the opposite to happen. My traffic is still continuing to increase though I have only published one new hub it about six months. I've also deleted a few poorly written, bad choice of topic hubs too.
    
    I wonder if it has to do with the subject matter of the hubs??
    
    Hoping it is just a temporary thing for you and that your traffic goes back up soon.
