   What are your thoughts about your hubs being eligible to be edited with Hub Pro?
   
   When we edit a profile on HubPages, when you scroll down you see an option to check yes or no to possible editing with Hub Pro.  I was wondering what people think of this option, and do you recommend it?

   It's not for me!  I emphatically clicked "No" to this option in my Profile.  I understand the importance of accuracy with grammar and punctuation, but I do not want to lose control over the other aspects of my Hub. 
   
   For example: Giving a total stranger the authority to update, add/delete capsules, and decide what information is relevant (or not) on MY article is definitely not for me!  After all, the Hub was written with MY personal revelation, experience, and research on the subject.  It was MY passion!  Just sayin'...

      While I tend to agree with you, for clarity, you do get final say.  Edits are not permanent if you don't like the edits you are allowed to change them back once they are completed.

      I have been writing for years and never employed the assistance of an editor — not even for my print publications.  I guess I'm a control freak when it comes to my own original writings!  :-)

      The two communications I got from the hubpro editor were basically form letters. One before the editing and one after the editing.  Generic and impersonal. Only one comment was added that mentioned a trivial fact written in my hub.

   At first I thought Hub Pro would be a good idea. Then the more I read about it, the less I liked the idea and opted out of the program. My hubs are my work, my style, my experience, my heavy research, my idea/creation. I do not want anyone in there making changes on my hubs. I think that is a violation of rights and actually quite rude.
   
   When my hubs succeed and do well, it is because of my effort and my expertise and that it what I want my readers to see.
   
   I would not recommend Hub Pro to anyone.
   
   To work with me on edits, if I ask for the help, would be acceptable if the "editor" did not have access to my work, and only offered suggestions. Even if : "Edits are not permanent if you don't like the edits you are allowed to change them back once they are completed." as ChristinS says, NO - that is not acceptable to me. I do not want anyone making changes in my work.

      I am really interested to see what others say about this as well.  I feel a little like Phyllis,it is  my work, my style and do I want it edited or changed - I am not sure yet.  I hope you have a huge response to this question.

   To be honest I know nothing about Hub Pro! Does that make me guilty of something? Lack of observation.
   Hub  Pro edits hubs I presume? Terrible.
   I would not entertain this idea for love or money.
   No way would I let anyone near something I'd spent hours creating.

   The Hubbers that have not opted out and have a high traffic flow to their Hubs are the ones which are most likely to be chosen.
   I have not opted out but my traffic is also low - this may be due to low followers - so I doubt that I will be selected.

      As a new Squbber (that means a transplanted Squid), I'm not exactly sure of this process.  However, I would think that the Hubs with low traffic/low scores would benefit the most from this Hub Pro option.

      I would think so to but the directions they came out with it is the other way around. It says below (in about the fifth paragraph down - How HubPro Works) they will begin with what I said:

   I would think Hub Pro is for users whom Hubpages moderator see their hub as excellent and informative but lacks good organization. That's my guess.

   On another account I've had hubpro offered and I used it. The result was positive On traffic but they significantly changed the look and feel of the hub. I'm of a mixed mind about this. Worth it for slightly more traffic but kind of a downer too because my persona was removed from the essence of the hub after the edits. If they offered it to me again I'd probably say no. That's just me.

   At first I was horrified by the idea of HubPro for the reasons that other people have mentioned. I was also worried because I often write hubs containing scientific or medical facts. I was afraid that if one of the facts was altered incorrectly my hub would be publicizing inaccurate information. I was also concerned that readers would think that I was responsible for the error. The FAQ section about HubPro in the Learning Center has done a lot to ease my fears, though.
   
   I've left the ability to have my hubs edited turned on because I'd love to earn more money from my Hubs and am willing to see if HubPro helps. It doesn't actually matter that I haven't turned HubPro off, though, since the editors are working with the hubs that have the highest traffic at the moment. They'll probably never get to me!

   My hub was completely rewritten.  Traffic is up, but it is no longer my style, my work.  Even the pictures were changed that I took myself so I knew I had full rights to them and they were completely relevant to the hub.  I know that my hub needed someone to edit it,  but completely rewriting is not editing.  I only have one hub that I wrote years ago. I've thought about writing another, but now I am having second thoughts.  I would not use hubpro again unless there was involvement between the editor and I.

      Courtney,  Have you contacted HubPages about this? To completely rewrite your hub and change the pictures is very disturbing. This is not good and is deceptive to your readers. You can start a forum thread on this to see what other hubbers think.

      Wow, very disheartening, Courtney. This kind of activity was my concern!  In the HubPro Blog it says they will: "Communicate with Hubbers about the changes made to their Hubs."  Do you recall receiving any correspondence from them for your approval?

      The 2 communications I received from the HubPro editor read like form letters.  I was addressed as pumpkincat210, my screen name and not by my first name.  It was very impersonal.
