the fact is, if you say anything mean or personal attacky to someone, they can report you. There is a REPORT button after each and every post.
there ARE rules. Wether anyone likes them or not, you do click..."I agree".. to join.
I personaly, adore Tantrum, and I hope she knows that. I do not see that she did anything wrong. I would have not reported her.
But really....You can not blame hubpages itself. Can you imagine, what the staff puts up with?
Rules are rules, it is a business.(I am not discussing if anyone thinks these rules are reasonable. Thats the wole point of the 'I agree buton'. If you didnt like them, you should have not clicked it..) If someone feels attacked, they click report. Due to the rules, the staff must act accordignly. Some are here for the forums, some to be social, some to make money. Personally...I like a little fun. I mean really...if your reading this..youve seen me beofre...I like to swear on occasion, and if I get mad I want to call names..I will never report someone, I try to see the other point of view.
BUT you can not control how others act.
You can only control yourself. IF you choose to break the TOS, AND get reported, you will deal with a 3 day ban from the forums...or make a new account and spew anger...
wether or not anyone agrees is not the point.
I enjoyed your alternative version of 'somebody to love'
Forgot to note that.
Mohit has been giving me the heeby jeebies
LOL Be patient, and you get him banned eventually
And I am glad you enjoyed it, but I thought it was white rabbit though
I like and enjoy Tantrum but am only mildly surprised. I don't think she really crossed the line with the rules against personal attacks but I do think a person with low self esteem and low confidence could feel hurt by her words easily. Unfortunately not everyone feels secure in them selves I think tantrum is very secure in her self and she will be back in a few days with a few words to say about it all. I will miss her for the next couple of days tho, that girl can make me laugh!
also how do you make a forum? like when people see it they join it and talk... what we are doing now.... how do you make one of those?
Not that I want to get involved but...
It doesn't really look like Tantrum did anything worth getting banned for. She was just stating her opinion about how childish she thought the OP was being.
Other than saying "you're disgusting" (to which she obviously meant the OP's attitude toward using the forum as his own personal report form was disgusting), there really is nothing insulting there.
If that's a "personal attack", then what is this world coming to?
Hey Tantrum, and this is for you, to tell you how much we love you here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXTLNOU9isI
tantrum says She's OK. Don't worry about her !
She will be back, of course!
Thanks to everybody!
I'm her best friend. My name is Gloria.
Tantrum says you're one of her favorite friends, if not the favorite!
Well hello Gloria! so nice to meet you.
I wonder, can XTASIS come in here? or her other alter? I really don't know. I suppose not.
She was using tantrums PC as she was in the room with her. I think that is what happened, and they think they are one and the same.
like I said, sucks to anybody who goes to the library.
every time I try to post a comment, the thread gets closed...?
really, I understand, censorship stinks.
these people in question didnt do anything I PERSONALY consider wrong.
but...other people have different views, beliefs, opinions, feelings.....you may not agree with them, but does that mean it matters less?
its 3 days, that they knew they had coming.
does there really need to be so many threads about it?
I feel like when I was in high school, they cancelld AIDS awareness day. Some parents felt thier kids didnt need to know about sex from school. 90 percent of the senior class staged a "walk out" they felt it was "unfair" that "the man" was keeping them down. they had a RIGHT to this knowledge..
they all went off, skipped school, got drunk, had sex....they ddint actually give a care to health ed, they just wanted an excuse to skip schoool...
please post my mail
Thank you, babe !!

but she's not a sock puppet! Why can't you believe me !
and my ban is unfair. If you care to read everything you would know.
and banning PearlDiver and Bloodandlatex was unfair as well.
Can I politely ask a question ?
Why did you ban me for ?
i read the thread you send me. where's the attack, when i'm defending another hubber from a person that is so base as to open a thread like that ?
Is he some HP' team's friend ?
Is because I said he was base ? Or the thread or him disgusting ?
well, is that not true?
I think you're making a great mistake.
well, maybe one day you will find out.

Do not try to get around the ban by posting through sock-puppets. Just wait your 3 days, publish Hubs instead if you like, and then adhere to the rules.

You have been temporarily banned from the HubPages forums.
Your ban is for personal attacks in this forum post:
Please note that subsequent bannings, should you return to the forums and engage in the same behavior, will be longer and eventually permanent.

In which cases would you flag/report someone to Hubpages, or even ask that they be banned? For example, if someone slandered your name, would you flag them? Here is a comment taken from a religious Q&A comment on Hubpages: "Compulsive lying with an inclination towards spreading...

How do Hubbers get banned from forums?I've noticed people on Hubpages mentioning that they've been, or are being, banned from the forums. How does this happen? What rules do you have to break to get banned?

There are a lot of us who haven't been feeling safe on the forums. They've felt stalked, harassed and browbeaten.Sadly, some folks go with the letter of the law, but not the spirit of it in their posts. For an excellent post on why we need Forum Moderators, check out what Makingamark says here...

I see few people who had answered my questions or my followers, having been banned. Why?What are the infractions that lead to being banned by hubpages?

Hello. I got a notice about one of my hubs, Anime TV Online - Watch Onegai Twins Online here being in a violation. When I entered hubpages to correct this situation I noticed that all of my hubs had been unpublished. All of them. Without any warning. Was this a mistake, or intentional? Am I in...

I have had comments from someone named badgirl who has referred to being banned. I try not to be a gossip monger, but she has me curious. Does anyone have any scoop on this?
