      Hi Tribe!
      Hey Stevie!!!
I'm a NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC nut. Certified! You got to tell me more! Did anyone ever find out the name of the spider?

You said it could kill birds.  That means it could jump pretty far. I'm glad it didn't jump on your roommate. But, I dont think large spiders have deadly venom, just a bad bite.

Depending on the spider, though, its venom might have liquefied flesh. That would have been bad beyond words.

liquefied flesh?  you mean like acid or something?  damn, that sounds terrible.

TheGlassSpiderposted 15 years agoin reply to this

Sort of. Tarantula-type spiders don't have teeth or any way of tearing up their prey; so their venom dissolves it and they can drink it.

                That is pretty terrible.

Thank you! That's part of my job...smoothing over human/spider relations...one person at a time. big_smile

Where DID those drums go? There was supposed to be a barbecue happening too. *looks for coals*

Thank you! I'm enjoying yours too...I was really pointing out that it was kind of funny. Ironic...boobs one side and, uh, tools on the other...hehe.

  12. TheGlassSpider profile image69
    TheGlassSpiderposted 15 years ago

It's just that most spiders never have the opportunity to make a good impression on people...so most people never have the opportunity to see them dance.

  13. profile image0
    Stevennix2001posted 15 years ago

oh i see.  plus, it helps that you have extra legs, as i can imagine that's a great advantage when your dancing.  lol
