You guys have fun. I'll stoke the fire and keep the spit turning. I'll wait here with my needlework. If I hear shots I'll send the search team. Be careful.

If you come across aggressive spiders out there, tell them I sent you. wink

You're welcome, Steven...I was going to ask about that. Did you run afoul of an evil witch or something? wink

yeah something like that.  like i told mega, i ran into a witch that promised me that an elixir would give me a lot more vitality and youth, but it ended up turning me into a cat.

now, i have all sorts of dogs chasing me, so i had to build my own little gun especially made for me.  pretty weird, huh?  lol

It is interesting but I really had to back away at sneaks comment. Not all women who have tats have been poked a bunch and I for one was incredibly ill at his comment. Obviously, I am for them and have a few of my own and that is just plain wrong thinking.

concur but the label "Tramp Stamp" has stuck in our culture now as it was added to the New Oxford Dictionary this year.. Not my feelings but it's out there.

Sorry guys I couldn't leave it alone, lol

It has to be a tasteful thing on women for me to go all cool over it. Mine are all done in what I think are tasteful places. Well except for one that I almost lost during surgery, lol

You should go have one done in her honor.

Its the stories like that that really touch me when I'm watching Miami Ink. These people come in and get these gorgeous tats in memory of their loved ones and it even chokes up the artist.

  25. Hmrjmr1 profile image69
    Hmrjmr1posted 15 years ago

Still thinking about it as a Freind of mine and his daughters and grand-daughters all got one in memory of his wife of 53 years pretty cool all got the same little bird on their shoulder.

I think it has something to do with the frustrated artist in me. I am just amazed when they take a pic and it comes out so lifelike on the skin.  Of course give me a Paula Deen cooking show over that any day of the week, lol

Well, I watch all sorts of stuff on the History channel.  I think that is what draws me to Ghost Hunters, they tend to go to historic places and prove or disprove hauntings.

I'll have to check that out it sounds interesting. I want to do the tour in New Orleans. I hear it is awesome.

  34. dave272727 profile image62
    dave272727posted 15 years ago

I did the Haunted Savannah tour when I was down there.  It was alright, but it felt a little too commercial if that makes sense.  I haven't done the one in New Orleans.  It sounds like a lot of fun.

My  late son used to guide that tour in Savannah with Plantation Carriage tours, he really enjoyed doing it...cool

  35. profile image0
    lynnechandlerposted 15 years ago

I've heard that about the Savannah one. They say the one in New Orleans can be down right spooky with the right guide.

  36. profile image0
    lynnechandlerposted 15 years ago

Sorry got sucked into a game, lol

I like the idea of the walking tour I think better than a carriage ride though the carriage ride was on our agenda when we were there over the summer.

  37. Hmrjmr1 profile image69
    Hmrjmr1posted 15 years ago

Both are pretty cool, when I finish my Valentine hubs I'm going to start doing Savannah Tour Reviews..Hopefully soon (if I ever get these last two done he he) cool

Its not Rocky the Flying Squirrel is it?  If so, get an autograph and tell him that he is a punk for leaving Bullwinkle.

  42. profile image0
    lynnechandlerposted 15 years ago

ROFL it actually is a flying squirrel. He is running between the floors. Will eventually make his way to the attic and settle for the night but right now he is creating quite the ruckus.

They usually do.  My cat chases them, and I don't think he knows what he would do with one IF he ever caught it.

Yep it's funny to watch Prissy looking at the ceiling and you can just see the wheels turning. What the hell is that and how can I get to it?  LOL

Left a comment on your part 4b. Story is coming along nicely I just had one little glitch that was bothering me.

  45. dave272727 profile image62
    dave272727posted 15 years ago

Thanks for the comment.  I was thinking the same thing, but for some reason those names jumped out at me.  I have a lot of things going on at once and sometimes it gets a little confusing.  When the edits come, a lot of the stuff will change.  Things added, things taken away, characters will remain the same though.

  46. profile image0
    lynnechandlerposted 15 years ago

Edits are so much fun. It looks like you write like I do just straight through. I have to do it that way. If I edited while I wrote it would never have gotten finished.

  47. dave272727 profile image62
    dave272727posted 15 years ago

I write it straight through and then take a day to go over it and fix the glaring errors (spelling/grammar) and then publish.

I saw that movie Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus today - I'm still digesting it - I liked it, but in some ways it reminded me of the Hijack this thread - you know?

Haven't seen it yet.  Am curious though.  I want to see the Book of Eli.

There are so many movies out now I wanna see - but right now I'm going to go to sleep - long day - and my monitor is still acting stupid - blanking out - so I'll blank out too - see y'all later!
