          Yes, When I was in Haifa, Israel we had to wear collared shirts, khaki pants, and couldn't go anywhere but on the base.  Bahrain was a little messed up.  I could see the Saudi border from my hotel room.  They told us that if we near the border that the Saudis would shoot to kill.  It was an interesting time.

    Met a Filipino band while I was there and had a lot of fun with them.  We went out and got drunk and then hooked up with their singers.  That was a bad mistake.  Took me three months to get rid of her.

       Great!  I feel just great -- its very cold rainy here and dark, but I am happy to be inside.  that 100 follower/fans is pretty cool, huh~! I have to stop on the computer soon and go do some beadwork, because I've been neglecting it and need to make some gifts.  Yesterday I saw The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus and I'm considering writing about it, but its a tough one to describe - maybe I should see it again.

       there is a rant thread - I forget what it is called just search for "rant" and you'll find it!  Or rant here!  We'll listen - won't give advice (I won't) because I have had some of the worst jobs in the world!  If you're getting paid well, though, hang in there buddy - this is not the best time to try to find a new job, as you know!  OOPS  that was advice, wasn't it!?  sorry.

             nothings wrong with advice - I just have a policy of not giving advice unless someone asks for it, because then they'll be in a receptive mood - I have actually gotten into minor arguments before sometimes when I gave unsolicited advice - so I'm just sayin' . . .

             Tex - If you own the network (he's at work) there is no such thing as anonymity, or Privacy for that matter. Overseas companies in particular monitor their networks quite closely.

    I just get sick of getting woken up every day to come back into the instrument room just because my counterpart doesn't know how to do his job.  There are only two of us this trip.  He has spent his time "learning" other people's jobs.  That is all fine well and good, but don't tell me that I need to learn their jobs.  I kind of went off on him tonight and said a lot of things that I shouldn't have.  They won't fire me, because they know that he is an idiot.  I basically told him that he needs to learn his own job before he can run around spouting off about others.

       Well, there's no way I can keep up w/ the previous 200 pages, but I'm trying to skim at least from where I jumped in...

       Dave and Glass Spider - I think the personality test your talking about for working/leadership styles is the Myers-Briggs test if you still wanna look it up.  We use it at work. Not sure if it helps, but its a little interesting, if time consuming.
       
       
       Mine's taking a dive too.  But, I haven't been able to get a hub finished in weeks... just kind of crazy around here w/ work and the kids... so I was blaming it on that.  I'm trying not to take it too seriously, but I'm still fairly new around here, so I'm not sure what I should and shouldn't care about yet.
       
       Glass Spider - That sounds like quite a ta-do w/ the roomie.  Hope it all worked out.
       
       Mega - I seem to remember Denno saying he would be MIA for a while too with classes and all... I've been bugging him a bit about the next chapter to one of his hubs.  Although, you all were discussing mutton an awful lot the last time I saw a post of his...
