   Escaping the Hunger is the first parts of the book that I have been working on.  I have about 4 more chapters written and ready to go.  I am hoping that I will get it finished and edited by May and start shopping it around.

   that's cool. well hope it works out for you.  who knows, maybe you might get your book turned into a movie or a tv series someday.  that might be kind of cool.  i don't think there have been any zombie tv shows, have there?

   No idea.  I think that Hunger could use A LOT of work.  parts 1 and 2 were really good, but 3 and 4 felt a little rushed to me.  I still enjoy them, but they don't have the same fell as one and two.  I think I didn't spend enough time developing them.  I just threw it onto the page and published it.  I think that they need some editing and a few re writes.  I am going to publish part 5 within the next few days after I iron out some wrinkles.

   that's cool.  well hope it works out then.  just remember not to rush it and take all the time you need anyway.  besides, its always better to focus on quality anyway than quantity any day.
   
   I felt part 1 and 2 were very good as well as the other chapters.  although i think you should make the wimpy guy develop more of a spine as the series goes on.  this way it'll give the reader more interest into him to see his character develop from a wimp to an unlikely hero.
   
   Plus, I think you should kill off terry because after thinking about it, he really doesn't offer much to the story as far I know of.  when he was first introduced i thought you were going to say that he was hiding something like a government conspiracy or whatever, when you mentioned that jake thought terry didn't seem like a typical military soldier.  I thought that might've been some foreshadowing to a conspiracy you were going to lead into later on, but it hasn't happened yet. that's why i think your better off just killing him for dramatic effect if I'm wrong about the foreshadowing part. anyway, im not saying you should take my advice or anything.
   
   i'm just coming up with suggestions for you to help you out if you like.  although, i'm sure whatever story you write is going to be fine.  just take your time and don't publish it until it's ready.

      If you're recruiting, how does one sign up?   I've skimmed and posted once or twice, but I never seem to be on when anybody else is.  I'm a reformed night owl (not by choice, my work shift changed and starts at 6:30 now, so I don't make it much past midnight anymore.)

       is it all in my imagination then?  I thought you and hmr and and steven and dave helped me write a pledge, which we all just promptly forgot.  But dave suggested I include it in this hub about the tribe and I've gone through EVERY single page of this thread and cannot find it!  So = f**ck it is what I say.  Someone will remember it or find it.  dave is probably packing or on his way home from Africa or something!  arrrrrghhhh!

                I really think I looked at just about every page - I have no idea when it was, and there is no way to search, that I know of other than just to page through - I have been doing this for ever, gleaning bits of dialogue that were cute for the hub article.  But now it has gotten a bit wearing, and I am sorta shocked to find just how much utter drool we write in this thread.  (well, not me, but others . . . he heh ) I have heard enough about canned cheese . . .

          Oh great ideas! I hope you have the time and energy to do these things - because I have never heard of a Triber actually DOING anything!  We just sorta imaging doing things, and then we imagine them done and voila!  So our imagining has now just created a recipe book or section or hub, and if you ask HmrJmr1 sometime when he's around, he'll find you pics of slim jims and etc.   Welcome to our humble tribe!  Hang loose, and remember - the Tribe is the purpose, and the Purpose is the Tribe!

                I was planning on starting in Spring, but, its a school that runs on trimesters, so their "spring" doesn't start until March.  As is turns out, my husband (who is also going back to school) needs just 2 more classes to finish his degree,so we decided to let him do them both this semester and wait on my start date until summer.  (2 of us, 2 full time jobs, 2 kids and 2 attempts at college may have led us down the road 2 divorce.)

                      I am happy to say, though, that I finished the application and the essay and have my rec's all lined up.  I just need to give it a final once over and click send.  I should finish it this weekend.

       Sorry guys, but we have to change the hors· d'oeuvre menu; slim jims and canned cheese are not going to cut it.  So I've put out a few other foods to munch on:
       
       Smoked Salmon
       Liver Pate' with cheese & crackers
       spinach dip in a marvelous home made sour dough bread
       Little smokies in a bold & tangy bbq sauce
       Mild, medium & hot salsa w/chips
       Seven layer guacamole dip
       Bruschetta with tomato, garlic & basil
       
       In the fridge there are assorted imported beers ranging from light to dark, several fine wines.  On the counter you'll find an assortment of pop, tonic water, and a variety of whiskey, voldka & Baileys.
       
       Fresh ground coffee will be served prior to leaving.

    Its called "Tribe for Hubbers" and I just published it - so get over there quick if you wanna be the first to comment!  It is kinda long, but people always just skim my stuff anyway, so I just kept writing, in hopes they would all find something good there!  When I was listing the tribers I had trouble formatting it and left it kind of funky - but readable.  I know I'll get counted down for that, huh.
