Today I woke to a pleasant surprise.  After I login to HubPages, I checked my statistic.  I just crossed 50K page views per day today!  Wow!! What a pleasant surprise!!!  In the past 30-days, I had 33,250 page views per day, and in last week average touching 41,385 page views per day.  And today it peaked at 51,425 page views!
I just want to know how many of you have crossed 50K mark for the first time since they started hubbing.

Great indeed! You really got large number of hubs here generating that. You'll need to get right information here on how you can optimize your hubs for better and high Adsense earnings with that pretty huge traffic per day. Hubbers like Sunforged, Misha, SunSeven and Mark got some pretty great tips on Adsense. Congrats!

You need to spend at least 1 to 2 hours on hubpages.  Must write and put hubpages as frequently as possible.

Of course, unique contents gets better ranking and hence exposed to visitors in larger scale.

My hubpages are mostly hubgalleries.  in between I do write stuff - like profile of stars or a movie - mostly devoted south india - which is my genre.

You keep putting up hubpages and write good articles.  And make sure you put your hubpages links other social networking site like twitter (I post all my hubpages link to twitter) or facebook etc.  And participate in forums and question/answers.  Also get ideas from IDEA-BANK

Wow. That's pretty amazing. I broke 150 for the first time for an entire week! How do you guys get so much traffic? I have tried everthing to get visitors. And although my hubs are slowly climbing, I wonder if I will ever get that high.

That's pretty amazing, a huge number of views in a day.

I'd love to know a bit about what you're doing too!

look at the number of hubs.. then look at the type of hubs... all bollywood girls... while you may get lots of traffic i'd be interested in knowing how many clickthroughs you get... what kind of payout do you get from 50,000 views but no clickthroughs.. Seriously though i'd like to know just for reference if putting a few bollywood hubs might get me other traffic to my regular hubs!

One of the other Indian hubbers with mucho page views said it was about 10 cents per 1000 impressions. I guess if you can get enough page views.......

MEL22 --> Mark Knowles have answered you.  PhotoGalleries don't bring in lot of click-thru's.  That is the reason, I have started putting hubpages which are NOT just Bolloywood 'girls'.  Right now I have less 12-hubpages which don't have HubGalleries of 'bollywood girls'.

Mark Knowles --> Mine is avg'ing 13 cents per 1000 page impression.  How many CENTS / 1000 impression is best?  On an average what is best cents/1000 impressions?

If I had to choose, I rather have the page views and low clicks versus low page views and a higher click percentage.

Building traffic is tough. However, once you master that... then you can shift to the click through percentage.

How can you even think that when you're paid by clicks? Unless, you're not here for the money and just to write? If that's the case, then so be it. smile Have a great day!!!!! big_smile

Because my model is produce great free content first. Then build up a community of loyal followers and my brand before I shift to allowing advertisers pitch targeted and great products/services to my audience. I write here and other places. I also write on my own website/blog and host an Internet radio show.

Haven't had 50,000 views in total, but maybe when I have as many Hubs as you!

    Congratulations.

I cannot answer that question. I rarely do this type of work and would have killed myself a long time ago if I was making CENTS per 1000 impressions.

But - yours is higher than the other hubber I mentioned. smile

  8. brimancandy profile image76
    brimancandyposted 14 years ago

That can't be correct. I have less than 300 hits total, and I have made 19 cents so far. And, I think I only have 2 impressions. Unless there is something I am missing.

It takes time my friend,it has taken me over a year to get 300 views a day and i started out with 20 or so hubs and was only earning a few pence here and there, but over time it grow, patience, that and get a couple of free blogs and post links to your hubs there,i am now earning in dollars more than 20 but less than 50,but it rises every month, keep track of how you are doing and all the best to you. smile

Sorry but if it took you a year to achieve 300 views a day, and you are still only earning only a dollar or two per day after 2 years, then you are failing pretty miserably. It has taken me 7 months to achieve 6000-7000 per day (rising rapidly), and that earns me a fair bit more than a couple of dollars per day. I suggest that you read more about SEO and Keywords, and then write faster, if you want to earn real money.

Firstly i did not work day after day as you can see from the amount of hubs i have, secondly i shall take your advice only after i see some of your own work my friend!!.6-7000 views a day im assuming is elsewhere.

Sorry if the truth hurts, but in two years, even with 69 hubs...... I would be very very dissapointed with 300 page views per day.

I say some people mention payout per thousand being around 10 cents.  Is that what most of you experience?  I just got started today and have only published one Hub, I just want to get a handle on some expectations.

    Thanks

    1. MrCartier profile image60
MrCartierposted 14 years agoin reply to this

No, 10 cents is VERY low. If you concentrate on writing to good keywords, you should expect $3+

I earn at around $3 per 1000 as a rough estimate. If I took this game seriously from the start, I would probably be looking at $5+ per 1000. A few very popular but low earning hubs bring my rate down significantly.

That figure of 10 cents relates to picture hubs, more specifically hubs full of pictures of Indian celebrities or ugly Indian people wearing not enough clothes.

The point is that although the OP gets 50,000 page views per day....... he probably earns less than a dedicated hubber earns from 2,000 page views per day. And that is why they mentioned the low figures. Hope that helps,

MrCartier has rightly pointed out regarding pay outs.  Picture or photo only hubpages have very low payout.  When I started hubbing, I was planning to write profile of 101 celebrities from South India.  But I was driven to putting lot of more photos than profiling a star or celebrity!

BTW, my payout is far better than the 10-cent per 1000 page views.
