Hey hubbers! In an attempt to push harder on our writing goals, @karenhellier and I are doing a hub challenge from May 1-31, and we’d love to have more hubbers join us.
Are you in?
This is fantastic. I'm in.
This will be my first Hub Challenge on HubPages. Thank you for putting it together!
That sounds like the kind of extra push I need to publish more, I'm in!
My goal is to publish at least 5 hubs and include my own original videos.
They are new things for me, both participating in a hub challenge and creating original videos to go with my articles.
I was just thinking I should create some deadlines for myself, the hub challenge comes at the right time. Thanks!!
Good to have you join us, Robie! Looking forward to reading your hubs this month! Good luck!
I joined the challenge a few days late thinking "I can do it!" but May got so busy that I was able to publish only 3/5. It may sound like I failed the challenge, but honestly, if I hadn't joined, I would ave published zero hubs, so I am actually pretty happy with the three that I got. Thanks for the incentive!
Let me know when the next challenge is. I just moved and am working on settling in this month. Then I will be back at it.
I might actually to get one out this month. I'm learning this Mac pretty fast. So my goal is to get at least one this month.
I'm doing a spring/summer unofficial challenge to get 5 new hubs published. One down already
Sounds great, nicely written hub and hub challenge. So good to see this kind of enthusiasm, TheHubFactory! I wish you persistence, too.
Very inspiring hub. I will think about it. I might join.
Write, Write, and Write. I am editing some of my old hubs with plans to write new ones after the edit evolution. So far, the editing is proven fruitful.
I want to try for at least 1 new hub per week, so this sounds like a fun way to get that done.
I'll read over the details hub asap.
Okay, so it’s May 1st and this hub challenge is officially underway! Good luck (and persistence lol) to everyone!
Had planned to publish my first on May 1st, but didn't get lucky enough to have time. However, I got my first hub of the month published!
Nice! I am way off my plan. Won't be able to get back to the challenge I presume.
Sorry to hear that, I ran into a similar situation this time last year. I had 'planned' to start adding hubs, but soon as I decided on that, work picked up and it never happened. ^_^
Oh man, sorry to hear that. Hopefully things will work out for you to join us again later this month or maybe in the next challenge.
Way to go, Billy! I think you're the first one to get one up!
I'll give it a shot. Am spending enough time here, anyway - might as well get a few hubs up and running. Will aim for two new and two old ones re-tooled by the end of May.
We now have seven hubbers officially participating in this challenge, and we have our first hub published! Let's get cranking, guys!
I would say, off to a great start. Just got an email stating my hub was no only edited, but it's being added to Dengarden!
I didn't even remember to submit it to a network this time... LOL!
I did not read your previous posts again, but just so you know, new hubs are automatically considered to be moved to niche sites, you do not have to submit them.
That's good to know. I remember that when the niche sites were introduced, there were mixed responses and some hubbers didn't want their hubs going to niche sites without their permission. But I think it's a good mood, so I'm glad HP is doing it this way. Saves me the hassle of submitting it lol
Hey hubbers, I just wanted to give a quick update on the Stellar Hub Challenge.
Good job, everyone!
I'm updating the hub stats as we go, so let me know when you publish new hubs so that I can keep the numbers current.
Okay, I hope you all have a happy and productive week!
Nice did you count the one and only one I published?
We got this!
I got another one written, just have to find time to get it laid out and published. LOL.
I've got two published so far and working on a Mother's Day one I hope to have finished by tomorrow.
I have zero lol =P
But I’m 2,000+ words into my first hub. Will hopefully get it published by end of day Thursday.
I published another one for Mother's Day today. That's 3/5 done!
Congrats Bills! I had more unproductive days that I would have liked, and I only published 2/5 so far, but I still have 10 days!
Since my goal is to have an original video in each of the hubs, that is actually the part that is slowing me down the most.
I thought I was going to write first and then make an ad hoc video, but it turns out it's easier to do the opposite: make a video and then write about it.
Now that I have that figured out, it's going to be easy-peasy... I hope.
Yeah, from watching YouTube it seems the more popular channels have a basic outline (or use highlights), then go from there.
From the perspective of my writing company, we've had several orders for writing articles relative to a particular video (which I think is close to your mentioned approach).
Latest hub published. 7/7 and that's a wrap. Thanks guys for starting this! I may decide to up my goal again but now I think that post reinforcement pause is in order. With ice cream. And maybe cake. Good luck to everyone else participating.
Fun! I once did a 30-day 30-hub challenge, quit a chore but a very productive month back then. Am I still on time to join? I will try to get 4 hubs up this month and possibly, at least one accompanying video. The video is the time consuming part. Hopefully, I won't be too busy, but 4 articles are my goal. I already have one published this month so far, so three left to go.
Alexandry - Glad you're joining us! I've already found that the camaraderie of the challenge has inspired me to write more hubs than I would've before including getting out an entry for the Mother's Day contest. Looking forward to reading your articles!
Another one published so I'm at 4/5 - I may have to revise my goal! How is everyone else doing?
Great job Natalie, you are on a roll! I am trying to work on my third if the doggies collaborate and get some sleep
Thanks! Go to sleep, doggies - mama's got to write! Good luck!
Okay, I've hit my goal of 5 hubs for the month. I am now officially revising my goal to 7. I am doing this largely because I don't have many ideas for good articles and the ideas I have (other than holiday articles which I'm going to try not to let myself do right now because they are easier for me) will take some time. This means I'll have to push myself and stay focused to get two more done. I need people to keep me accountable if anyone doesn't mind as I feel that post reinforcement pause coming on which could easily carry me the rest of the month.Hope everyone else is progressing toward their goals, as well!
Natalie, congratulations. I have only managed 2/5 at this point, which I was hoping to have at least 3 by now so I'm falling behind due to work (and taking advantage of the good weather!). lol
Good approach to set a goal that's slightly challenging, but within reach.
I'm in that 'pause' state myself as I've been taking advantage of the good weather and getting active outside more and slacked off on the Hubs, as I still have writing for clients too. So little time! lol
But, I am currently putting together an outline for my next Hub, then I'll be half way there!
Uh oh. First day of nice weather all year. Writing is bound to fall off!
Well, got put in a brace for the next 4 weeks to treat carpal tunnel. Not going to hit 5 hubs this month, but I did manage to finish the one I've been working on for about 2 weeks... LOL.

I finished 1 stellar hub and got 3/4 of another finished. Considering my computer in on the blink, that was doing well.
I managed 10 for the month but have only managed one and part of another so far for June so I'm not keeping up the pace. The challenge really helped me keep on track and keep putting out articles. Maybe we'll do another challenge sometime over the summer and I'll get back with the program! Thanks everyone for the support and motivation.

Take one of your old hubs, update it with new content, better photos, improved titles and add some additional modules (make it a stellar hub effectively) and then post it here for critique!

I read about hub challenges. But I didn't get a clear idea. So my doubts are -1. Is it just posting quality hubs every day or will the admin give any topic for a particular day?2. Is there any formalities to enter this challenge?3. What is the benefit of participating in this challenge?4. Is there...

For me it is only ONE...
