Am over the moon...proof that this Amazon thing really can work! I'd sold a couple of plants the week before (my first sales)- just cents in commission, but wow! a greenhouse!
    Did...em...someone here buy it?

That is great news and congrats are in order.

Its just proof that persistence does pay off.

This thread will be a testement to others who think they will never make any money.

      Cheers

      Dale

Good work Izzy M. Yes, "this Amazon thing" really does work! I'm with Dale, lets hope lots of people find this topic, so they'll see it does too. Thank you for sharing your success story and enthusiasm.

I just checked some of your greenhouse and gardening hubs. They are indeed high quality sales hubs. I'm sure there will be lots of sales for gardening seasons to come.

Thanks Dale and Nelle! It's really inspirational that this has happened, because now I want to write loads more Amazon hubs. I can't be an Ebay affiliate so I've only got Amazon to go on. I didn't think it was going to work for me because unlike you, Nelle, I know nothing about marketing, so I've just been sticking to products I would buy, ones that I know a bit about.
I was a bit worried too that because most of my readership seems to come from this side of the world, that I wouldn't get much in the way of sales through an American site, but hey ho...a greenhouse!! Pity I'm still on the lower rate of commission but no matter, maybe I'll sell more in the future.

Congratulations on your sale, that is AWESOME!!!

I am still learning, and I know there are plenty of hubs about how to use adsense and how to advertise for Amazon....that's part of the problem, there are so many great Hubs...I don't know where to start.

Can anyone point me in the direction of good hubs for beginners, please? Or to the forum where there's probably already a list?

Read any of Nelle's hubs. She an expert at this!

Wow! That's even more impressive! I wish I had been the one to buy it...I could use a green house...

As a matter of fact...I'll just pop over to your hub! wink

        LOL
I wish I could buy one myself; I'd just love a greenhouse again!

Hey! that's a beautiful hub. I'd particularly like to have that little portable one, or the one that's just less than $300.00...My freelancing's going well this year so far; if it keeps up, I might be able to afford one. Do you get a commission only if I buy (via your hub) from Amazon direct?

ETA: Thank you for recommending Nelle! I'll have to go follow her smile

I think you have to click on the link in my hub and buy within an hour or something. I don't know how long the cookie stays active before it times out, or if you click through my link and buy a different one. No idea sorry, but thanks for considering doing it smile
Nelle's the expert on these things.

      Ta xx
Funny thing was, when I wrote my greenhouse ones, I was thinking along the lines of their being worth selling because of their high prices. Not that I think they are overpriced or anything, the amazon greenhouses look fab and their price is great for what you get.

IzzyM you're now proof that it doesn't take a long time to start earning money at HP. And thank you for the kind words.

Do you have adsense as well as Amazon? I'm finding now that Adense seems to be doing really well on product hubs as well.

Gardening is a great niche - go for it.

Yeah I've got adsense as well. It was starting to pick up but then my traffic has all but collapsed over the past fortnight for whatever reason so obviously there's been hardly any clicks.

Just had a thought, now that I've mentioned it maybe everyone will be putting up greenhouse hubs and that's my sales gone! <eek!>

@misha - I wish they did have wheels I'd have brought mine out to Spain with me!

I'm amazed at this success and hope it isn't a one-off. Now why couldn't folk have bought seeds from me first till I got onto a higher commission rate!
I'd have been over the moon to have sold a kindle cover or a radar detector too so well done you!
