Am over the moon...proof that this Amazon thing really can work! I'd sold a couple of plants the week before (my first sales)- just cents in commission, but wow! a greenhouse!
Did...em...someone here buy it?
Good work Izzy M. Yes, "this Amazon thing" really does work! I'm with Dale, lets hope lots of people find this topic, so they'll see it does too. Thank you for sharing your success story and enthusiasm.
I just checked some of your greenhouse and gardening hubs. They are indeed high quality sales hubs. I'm sure there will be lots of sales for gardening seasons to come.
Thanks Dale and Nelle! It's really inspirational that this has happened, because now I want to write loads more Amazon hubs. I can't be an Ebay affiliate so I've only got Amazon to go on. I didn't think it was going to work for me because unlike you, Nelle, I know nothing about marketing, so I've just been sticking to products I would buy, ones that I know a bit about.
I was a bit worried too that because most of my readership seems to come from this side of the world, that I wouldn't get much in the way of sales through an American site, but hey ho...a greenhouse!! Pity I'm still on the lower rate of commission but no matter, maybe I'll sell more in the future.
Congratulations on your sale, that is AWESOME!!!
I am still learning, and I know there are plenty of hubs about how to use adsense and how to advertise for Amazon....that's part of the problem, there are so many great Hubs...I don't know where to start.
Can anyone point me in the direction of good hubs for beginners, please? Or to the forum where there's probably already a list?
Thanks falcon! There is hope for all of us yet. I only wrote my first amazon hub last month!
Wow! That's even more impressive! I wish I had been the one to buy it...I could use a green house...
As a matter of fact...I'll just pop over to your hub!
I wish I could buy one myself; I'd just love a greenhouse again!
Hey! that's a beautiful hub. I'd particularly like to have that little portable one, or the one that's just less than $300.00...My freelancing's going well this year so far; if it keeps up, I might be able to afford one. Do you get a commission only if I buy (via your hub) from Amazon direct?
ETA: Thank you for recommending Nelle! I'll have to go follow her
I think you have to click on the link in my hub and buy within an hour or something. I don't know how long the cookie stays active before it times out, or if you click through my link and buy a different one. No idea sorry, but thanks for considering doing it
Nelle's the expert on these things.
Funny thing was, when I wrote my greenhouse ones, I was thinking along the lines of their being worth selling because of their high prices. Not that I think they are overpriced or anything, the amazon greenhouses look fab and their price is great for what you get.
WTF is greenhouse anyway? Does it have a steering wheel?
IzzyM you're now proof that it doesn't take a long time to start earning money at HP. And thank you for the kind words.
Do you have adsense as well as Amazon? I'm finding now that Adense seems to be doing really well on product hubs as well.
Gardening is a great niche - go for it.
Yeah I've got adsense as well. It was starting to pick up but then my traffic has all but collapsed over the past fortnight for whatever reason so obviously there's been hardly any clicks.
Just had a thought, now that I've mentioned it maybe everyone will be putting up greenhouse hubs and that's my sales gone! <eek!>
@misha - I wish they did have wheels I'd have brought mine out to Spain with me!
That is fantastic Issy! Congratulations! It is always an inspiration seeing what so many are accomplishing with their articles and hubs. I personally appreciate you sharing your story.
That's fantastic! I see I've just sold a radar detector and I thought that was great, but a greenhouse? Fantastic!
lol - I know how you feel I sold a cole haan kindle cover , and made $10. I felt great !!! Just the fact that someone bought an item because of me was great.
Thanks Cindy and writer.
I'm amazed at this success and hope it isn't a one-off. Now why couldn't folk have bought seeds from me first till I got onto a higher commission rate!
I'd have been over the moon to have sold a kindle cover or a radar detector too so well done you!
Great job Izzy - may you sell many, many more! Here's to you gal - cheers
Congrats ~ Great to hear! I think I need to spend more time in other subjects than poetry! Happy for you.
Well done Izzym A greenhouse thats brilliant, Keep up the good work
All right Izzy! A greenhouse? Aaa you are a part of helping plants grow. That is totally cool. and nope wasn't me! lol I swear!

Needing some constructive criticism regarding my second ever hub. I crafted what I thought to be a clever and informative article that would help the reader renegotiate a lower wireless bill with their provider. But after one day its been down-voted 5 times. Wondering if anyone has any advice to...

I check my Adsense twice a day and am continually refreshing till Amazon rolls over at the end of the day as well. I've finally reached the point where I might get a sale every second day or so, although no one seems to want to buy more than one or two items (c'mon, someone, go on a shopping...

http://hubpages.com/hub/How-To-Refurbis … s-AquariumMost of my hubs start at 50 then go up from there, but this one instantly started at 49 and has gone down to 44. I'm still new to Hubpages, though I've learned a lot so far, but this stumps me altogether.
