Thanks guys!!  This was my second largest affiliate sale ever.  My largest was a $20,000 piece of construction equipment that earned me about $120+. That was off one of my Squidoo lenses. wink

Thanks again guys!  It is sales like this that inspire me to keep working hard.  The reason I shared this sale here is because this could happen to anyone of us.  So, hopefully you found some inspiration reading about it.  The fact is I didn't do anything special, didn't do anything that you guys aren't doing.  I just got lucky.  Maybe next time, the big sale will be yours! smile

Way to go Janet - that is great. I love big bonuses like that. I had a big one from Squidoo not too long ago when someone purchased a $600 slide - it is always nice to see big numbers and it is true it can happen to anyone.

Could you post the hubpage that featured the $1,000 ring sale.  I am wondering how you incorporated the revenue capsule with your content.

    1. Janet21 profile image79
Janet21posted 15 years agoin reply to this

I was not promoting this ring on any of my hubs.  It was just a random item purchased once someone clicked through one of my amazon links.  I don't know which hub initiated the sale.  I just know the sale originated from hubpages.

Wow.. just wow.. and just what I needed to hear.. Haven't made any rev on Hubpages since I signed up, primarily cause only have an Amazon account and was kinda in the doldrums.. This has so made me hopeful.. as did Mark Knowles advice in a separate forum..
Congrats and wishing you great sales in the future.. :-)

That's awesome! Funny thing: I checked my amazon sales today too (randomly), and I sold an LCD TV for about a $44 profit! Like you, it's not an item I featured...but I guess my 24 hr affiliate code stuck with them as they shopped around amazon.

    Sweet!

I removed all my amazon and eBay ads cause I'm not making any cent from it.

What do you mean by that? hmm

Well done Janet!  My first sale on Amazon was a wood burning stove worth several hundred dollars - I made around $50.  Since then I have only sold a book!

Yet to earn on Ebay ( been advertising with them for around 6 months).

I wonder if Amazon sells banks, ships or big corporations? smile

It happens - if someone clicks off one of your links and goes shopping you still get the commission even if it is not what you referred. Happens to me all the time - here and on my Squidoo pages. On one of my toy lenses on Squidoo - some one bought a drive shaft for a car from Ebay. You will see it happen I am sure.
