    Hi Hubbers,

I'd like some help with passing the Quality Assessment Process. Will you please give feedback on my article? What can I do to improve? Thanks!

I agree with what the other people have said.

Also, it is muddled. For instance, generally speaking, one paragraph should contain one idea. You have a paragraph which covers length, book covers, e-book structure and plot twists. Surely those things deserve at least a paragraph each?

An article of this breadth should be at least 1,500 words long. It's impossible to cover the topic in fewer words.

One other problem is that there are many other articles and websites out there which your piece has to compete with. How can you get it to appear at the top of search engine results? It has to better than the rest.

Hi. I'll share two of the problems that I see with the article. First, the conclusion and link suggest that the article is designed to promote your book. The self promotion is highly unlikely to be accepted by HubPages. Secondly, your title says that you are going to explain how to write fiction for all ages, but you've included only one paragraph that is specifically about this topic.

It’s far too short. Hubs should be at least 700 words to get featured, which I don’t think this is. It doesn’t feel so much like a guide to writing as a quick run through of the basics before promoting your own work.

I would add more detail about how to write, since that is what your title promises. How would I start to write a book? By jotting down my ideas and planning the outline before I start my first sentence, or by starting from the beginning and hoping it unfolds naturally? How about character development? Making shocking twists? Getting it published?

I would delete the bottom paragraph as it’s way too self-promotional. Get rid of the amazon link too.

The good news is you have a decent grasp of spelling and grammar, so you could do well here if you learned the rules of creating a great hub (see the Learning Center by clicking MORE on the top left). There is also an article on my profile about how to get your hub featured. Hope that helps and best of luck!
