    Hi Hubbers,

I'd like some help with passing the Quality Assessment Process. Will you please give feedback on my article? What can I do to improve? Thanks!

Gosh, I'm not sure where to start...

As FFC says, too many links. Why would you want to send your readers away from your article?

Images. You can't just help yourself to images from other websites. You have to make sure that they have the appropriate license, otherwise you may end up with a demand for payment.

The Amazon book. You don't mention it, or refer to it in your article. It's important that you demonstrate that it helped you, otherwise it is surplus to requirements.

A good proofread will help you. There are some occurrences of unnecessary capitalization. Also in your table headings, one heading is not bold. The table is inconsistent in capitalization throughout.

Watch out for run-on, grammatically incorrect sentences, like this, "Acknowledging and treating the above symptoms of the Syndrome can spare someone a lot of pain, mentally and physically, as a both a method of prevention, if they are early signs, or recovery, if they are attributed to the disorder, itself."

There are errors throughout, so it's a good idea to read the text out loud. It will help you pick up misplaced punctuation and typos.

It's an interesting topic, and, with some work, I'm sure you will be able to get this featured.

      Good luck.

Thank you so much for the feedback! I just have a follow-up question if you don't mind helping out with it. I was under the impression that if I claim something scientific or not 'commonly known' in the article, I have to add a reliable link to it in order to prove its credibility, is this not the case?

A less distracting way to do this is a reference list or bibliography that can be either live linked or unlinked.

Yes, it is necessary to state where you got the information from, but doing this in a different way would be better. What you could do is add a "References" or "Sources" capsule at the end of your article. You could then place book names, web addresses, or links to your reference sources in the capsule. If you decide to create active links in the reference section, you should make the highlighted section of each source as short as possible so that the capsule isn't loaded with red print.

Edit: I just saw that psycheskinner said the same thing while I was composing my answer. I think it's the way to go.

I agree with the other comments. I can tell you've put a lot of time into this article, but it needs an edit. It is too wordy. If someone is burned out, do they want to read a complicated article? Think of your audience. Keep it simple.
