Hi Hubbers,
I'd like some help with passing the Quality Assessment Process. Will you please give feedback on my article? What can I do to improve? Thanks!
Here is my article: A City Tour To Udaipur In India,Well Known For Its Lakes And Palaces
Your content is good. I agree with other comments. Have you tried out a free version of Grammarly. I have found it very helpful since a fellow hubber suggested it. Good luck with getting this through. Perseverance is key and you will get there in the end.
Thank you so much for the insights and guidance you provide.
There is a Quillbot paraphrasing tool. you may use it online for better expression of ideas.
Your article is full of interesting information and photos. I think the problem is the English errors in the article. For example, in the Ludwig von Mises (not Misses) quote, "word" should be "world". If you go through the article carefully and correct the language and grammar mistakes, I think it will pass the Quality Assessment Process.
I value the insights and guidance you always provide. Thank you so much.
Your Title is not formatted correctly. You can use Title capitalisation tool to check.
Original: A City Tour To Udaipur In India,Well Known For Its Lakes And Palaces
Suggested: A Tour of Udaipur, India — Well Known City for Its Lakes and Palaces
I would move an edited version of the first text capsule "Why Udaipur?" and rename it "Udaipur for Weddings". Move to the end – weddings are not immediately related to your title. Pleas see below for edited version.
I would delete the entire section about history. A speech about the importance of history is unrelated to your article's title but while I'm at it, please note:
Why is knowing About Our History Is Important? Question mark justified
Why knowing About Our History Is Important – this is not a question, so no question mark.
An article usually starts with a photo, after which some introductory text which doesn't need a heading (since the first paragraph describes what the title is about).
The first text capsule could be:
Udaipur is situated in the western Indian state of Rajasthan. Normally when someone speaks about Rajasthan, drylands with sand doves where camels must be wandering comes to mind. Not so in Udaipur. With its emerald water lakes and greenery, the city is a scenic treat for nature lovers. It has many historical treasures hidden in beautiful palaces. Each wall, door, sculpture, statue, sword, everything has an interesting story behind it. The palaces are fascinating in every sense and tempt the visitor to explore more of the entire city. This article describes a few awesome places to explore in the city of Udaipur.
Places To Visit In Udaipur
(Followed by a numbered lis)
1. City Palace
2. Lake Pichola
3. Fateh Sagar lake
4. Vintage Car Museum
5. Sahelion ki Bari
6. The Mansapurna Karni Mata Temple
7. Bagore Ki Haveli
8. Jag Mandir
The following text should be an expansion on each of those headings which serve as a kind of contents listing. So use the same numbers and words for each subsequent heading. Keep text capsules, headings and sentences short. For example:
1. City Palace
The City Palace is a marvel of art and architecture. It is a unique … centuries, (full stop new sentence). Towering … complement each other beautifully.
When text is quite long, use a new text capsule for sub headings to leave room for ads (i.e. leave the heading blank and put a first line of the text in H3) for example:
City Palace Museum (format in H3)
The City Palace Museum is a treasure…to the present
The following sentence doesn’t make sense:
Wearing a pair of comfortable shoes is recommended before planning to visit the palace as you have to walk a lot to explore the entire palace (Never use the same word twice in the same sentence.) and hire a tour guide who will narrate the interesting history of the palace and museum.
You don’t wear comfortable shoes before planning to visit the palace.
A better way would be:
Wear a pair of comfortable shoes as you have to walk a lot to explore the entire palace. Hiring a tour guide who will narrate the interesting history of both the palace and the museum is recommended.
One picture per heading is more than enough.
2. Lake Pichola
Use “it is” instead of “it’s”
Number all headings as above. Check grammar etc.
Place following above "Conclusion"
Udaipur for Weddings
Destination weddings are quite a buzz these days. Tying the knot in a royal palace in regal grace and royal charm is a splendid idea. Maybe this could be the reason why many business magnates and celebrities in India are choosing Udaipur to rejoice either their own or children's wedding function.
I hope you get my drift Suchismita.
Good luck with getting the article featured on the niche site WanderWisdom
B.t.w. your surname in your profile should begin with a capital letter:
Pradan, not pradan.
I am grateful for your support. Thank you so much.
This already looks good, just needs a little tweaking with grammar and language. I agree with AliciaC and think it will pass with just a few changes.
I think the title is kind of bulky though and will not get much traffic. Why not focus on the destination wedding aspect? How about "Udaipur, Rajasthan, a Historical City for the Best Destination Wedding"? (Or something like that.) If you use the title suggested by Sue Adams, or change to the one I am talking about, you can look at your traffic in six months or so and see the name is being noticed. If it is not, change it and monitor the response.
Anyway, good luck with this.
I value the insights and guidance you provide.Thank you so much.
Good morning miss Suchmismita pradhan. I like your article. It has important information. History is important for travelers, and people who wants to know the Indian culture. You need to edit and fix your punctuation. Then you will find some other errors. I wish you a wonderful day.
Thanks, Erorantes for your prompt reply. It will be a great help if you can highlight the errors. I had rectified few but still it's not featuring.
Hi, Suchismita. One thing I noticed is that in the City Museum capsule you've written the paragraph about wearing comfortable shoes twice.
The English is better than it was before, but the article still has language problems. Do you know someone in your part of the world who has excellent English skills and who would be willing to go through the article with you? I think that would be a big help.
