Anyone else finding this on their statistics page?
I have had 22 views today and 40 total, but I don't know what it is??
Any time I write on something relevant to current stories I get an influx of views from Newsbreak for about a week. During the early stages of the pandemic I received thousands of views from it, and the articles they chose to host were strange choices.
One was about drug-induced psychoses, another about Liar's Dice, and the next a satirical article about surviving the apocalypse.
I have found that almost everyone has their articles on newsbreak.
When it pulls up it seems to every article that goes to a niche site...like in my case, LetterPile.
I sent them an email, so I guess I wait and see.
When i look it up it has a place for published work, even blogging, but I've never signed up.
Would Hubpages have a link on here for this app??
That I hardly know. Have ya mail team@hubpages.com/ ?
Yes i have.
I have been told they are not sharing this work, yet everything that goes to LetterPile ends up there.
Newsbreak is a writing site. I wouldn't be surprised if it's something to do with Maven.
Thank you.
One would think they would let you know beforehand.
I'll contact them & see what I can find out.
Thank you again.
Newsbreak! It's actually similar to HubPages in that it appears to be a revenue sharing site, but instead of evergreen content, creators produce breaking news articles. Maybe one of your articles has been linked as a source in a Newsbreak article.
Thank you. I guess it's possible.
I did send them an email but received no response yet.
Interesting site though.
No, I haven't had any traffic from that site. I have had 494 searches from a site called idealhomegardendotcom. When I Google it, I get a page with the name of the site and a search bar. Don't want to go into it because I don't know what I'll find on the other side.
I had one spurt of traffic from newsbreak a while back. Looked like a legitimate incoming link to me. It died off after a couple days and then my traffic returned to normal.
This traffic seems to have died off since I mentioned it.
Yes, the traffic will die down because the content on Newsbreak is "breaking." So there might be a small flurry of clicks while the original article is relevant and receiving traffic but that's probably only for a week max, since the new cycle is so volatile. Still a nice little boost though!

Aside from sharing my article links on Facebook, what are some tried and true ways of increasing traffic/reads to our articles? I'm new; 3 weeks in, have 10 published and featured articles so far. I'm trying to figure out what the number on my profile photo means exactly. I know...

I am not going to drag up the recent massive plagiarism activity again, but - as you know Maddie - I have found that quite a lot of my hubs have been de-indexed and my traffic here is dropping despite publishing new work and despite actively promoting myself outside of hubpages. I realize that it...

I just had the most horrible surprise. In my Goggle Adsense Account I received £0.52 for the month of May for about 200 views a day. That is not a payment - that is an insult. Is there anybody there to give any tips to radically increase my views? Even so, I am sure £0.52 for 200 views a day can be...

I notice I still have some articles published on Hubpages.com. What's the story about those? Are they visible and indexed on the web? The URLs are appearing in a search, so they must be.

Hello, I am new to HubPages. I have been here 2 weeks now, and in that time I have published 2 article's. However, I am not getting much traffic to either article? Is there something I am doing wrong? Is it because I am new? I am not sure what is going on, but wanted to reach out to some other's...
