If you have an article on Holidappy, you might want to check this site:
    www.etandoz.com

They've stolen my Father's Day article and posted it verbatim, photos and all (including one of me). I contacted the so-called author three times and asked her to take it down, to no avail. Today I sent an email to her hosting provider, which is Contabo GmbH, a German website provider. Etandoz' IP addess is 173.249.24.142, in case you need it.

You should file a DMCA complaint with the website that copied your content. Please visit the FAQ for instructions: https://hubpages.com/faq/#copiedhub

I’ve noticed a significant increase in the number of articles being stolen/copied lately. It’s got to the point where I’m tired of having to fill out complaint forms to have my copied articles removed haha. So annoying!

Sorry to hear that you are having to deal with this issue though. Hope you are able to get it resolved!

I've never had so many copied articles.  It's exhausting tracking down the hosts, then figuring out how to file the DMCA complaint.

Is there some way that HubPages can remove the copycat sites from our list of copied articles that have successfully been taken down?  It's discouraging to see my list get longer every day.  I feel like I'll never get ahead.

If the plagiarists have a Social Media account, another option you can try is to embarass them my making a post on their page/profile about how they copied content. That worked for me a few times.

It seems all the niche site articles are being stolen. HP's answer to this is for each author to file a DMCA. However, if the niche sites are being hit, shouldn't it be HP's responsibility to go after the perpetrators? Some entire sites have been duplicated to foreign-hosted sites. That should be an HP/Maven worry, don't you think? This didn't happen until HP merged with Maven.

    Suspicious.

I agree. The site that stole my content is German-based and is set up very much like Maven. It doesn't look like a fly-by-night site, but is well organized, attractive, and with lots of ads on all sides and our articles dominating the middle.

Just checked HPs DMCA reporting policies again and made sure I went through each of the proper steps. I've already contacted the perpetrators via their website contact form (twice) and their FB page (twice). I wrote GoDaddy, which is the registrar and informed me they have nothing to do with it, and Contabo.com, which is their hosting company.  I first contacted Contabo several weeks ago, with no response, but then emailed our formal DMCA complaint form today. I also sent it to Business Infoline, which appears to be their main advertising provider. We'll see what happens now.
