Good morning miss Peggy W. I was reading your article. It has good information. You are so right about the warning of the books. The correct information is important for every reader. I like your article. It is best to read the front cover and the back cover before we buy a book. Thank you. Have a great day.

This is an important topic. I never thought about authors putting a trigger warning in a book, but after reading your article, it makes perfect sense. Certain books can surely impact us negatively. Children and sensitive people need to be protected. So sorry you went through the negative experience in class. I can't imagine a teacher allowing that! I am sure I would have been very disturbed too.

Adrienne, it's one of those things that once you hear about, you have one of those "well, of course" moments. Negative surprises can be quite a shock to the system, especially for more sensitive audiences. In the pet arena, when talking about health issues that include post-surgery, injury, or medical condition photos, I'm seeing more and more of those folks putting content/trigger warnings on their posts before the photos are shown. Even though as pet owners, we've signed up for all of that, it still can be very unsettling. Thanks so much for chiming in! Hope you're doing great. Have a beautiful day!

Hi Pamela! Lots of authors don't think about trigger warnings until it bothers some of their readers. Then it's too late. Glad you found this informative. Thank you so much for reading and commenting! Have a great day!

All of Heidi's articles are interesting and useful, but I think this one is especially important. It's an excellent reminder to use trigger warnings when necessary.

Hi Linda! True, not all writing requires trigger warnings. But authors do need to be aware of how their work might impact their readers. Thanks for reading and your kind words! Have a lovely day!
