I was so encouraged this morning by an article I read, written by bravewarrior. I wanted to share it here, as I think that it may resound with and encourage many other writers, too.

Thank you, bravewarrior, for publishing this piece.

I'm honored, Madeleine! I'm so glad this article resonated with you. What more can a writer ask for?!

It's a read worth every second of my time.                                         But what's man without nature? Even a King had to commended a spider for falling, falling, and then rising and rising to get to his home.                                              It's this foolish thing' actions that the King further commended as 'honour to all'. So, if you fail, and you try again, its an honour.                                       The very best of man are got from nature. For example, the most sophisticate underwater warships are fashioned after the belly of the marine seal or whale. Can you imagine that the body of big jets were likewise that of certain big whales?                                     Thanks for the read, anyway.

Thank you for resharing this article, Madeleine. I have read it before a long time ago, but well-worth another read. Very uplifting, Shauna.

Thank you, John. Frankly, I was quite surprised to see the share here, especially after the comment I made about your article and using the forums as a means to comment with actual interaction.

I had forgotten about this excellent article. This article speaks to all of us in some way, no matter where we are in life. I am glad I got to read it again, Shauna.

    Thanks for this post Madeleine.

I love it. It's reality that we all ignore. Nothing is instant. If it's instant, you won't know how to react when adversity comes. I love the perseverance part. It's well explained very well

Wow!  What a wonderful experience Shauna!

I wish you could've documented the whole process...like him removing those chunks of wood.

    Your article is definitely inspirational.

We need to keep our focus & keep going.

You used the perfect Video...the climb.

Thanks, Brenda. If I had the camera I have now, I may have tried to get a bit closer to document the woodpecker chiseling out the hole. The one I had back then was only a 5X zoom. Plus that was early in his endeavor. It took a while for him to get used to me hanging around.

I actually did write two other article using photos of the Pileated Woodpecker family. They were documentations of what I observed, rather than life lessons I garnered. They're both on PetHelpful.

        Shauna...
I found one of them on Pethelpful about observation of woodpeckers.

I'm still quite amazed you got that opportunity.

You did manage to get a few good pictures.

I probably would've been too scared to get that close.

Brenda, I now have a 30X zoom camera. I would have been able to take good pictures without getting too close and jarring his production. With a 5X zoom, I would have had to have gotten too close before he trusted me. Overall, it was a very cool experience.

FYI, that tree is no longer there. It became so weak and rotten after the family left, that it fell on the house across the street from me during a heavy storm. Sad. But, they're still around. I hear them all the time.

So glad they're still around...that is if you can handle hearing them pecking.
I remember one in my younger days that constantly kept me awake.

I'm looking for a camera now.  I hope I pick a good one.

Brenda, I have a Nikon Coolpix w/30X zoom. It's a good little camera and affordable. Oh, btw, in the niche sites, if you click on the author's name you'll find their profile (extracted from hubpages.com). Below that you'll find links to all the authors' articles within that particular site. Pretty cool feature.

    Hi ,Bravewarrior,

I love it--you have not lost the gift of writing. I have lost my light in my computer room--so please forgive my errors. It is not easy typing by candlelight.

That was an amazing story, and we need to hear from you more. I love taking pictures of animals--however, my Sony Cyber-shot is 12 years. Have you had an offer to give you a show with your pictures?

No more pity parties for you girl.

    Keep writing and clicking away,

    Your Hubber friend,

    Bobbi Purvis

Bobbi, that article was written in 2016. I haven't posted anything new here since early 2021. I've been editing part time (still have a full time job). I'm currently working with an author on his novel. It's a very rewarding experience and I'm still able to exercise the creative side of my brain.

Thanks for your wonderful comment, Bobbi. You started my morning off with a smile!

A woman will easily huge and kiss her fellow womanfolk, even in public glare.                                   Woman, you're a thing of curiosity!

          Miebakagh...
This is a small gesture of friendship...nothing more.
But Shauna's article is about a woodpecker....so let's not go off topic in a different direction that's not needed.

We understand you choose for no one to send you hugs.
