Hi everyone.  In returning to HP, I'm trying to add comments but it seems this feature has disappeared?

A couple of years ago, Genna. HP is now owned by The Arena Group. HP was sold to Maven and now The Arena Group. No comments. Lots and lots of invasive ads and videos. HP as we knew it no longer exists.

Welcome back...but the comment system is not functioning at the moment.                                               A couple of weeks ago, I wrote team@hubpages.com/  Matt respond by sayying they're aware of the issue, and that all hands are on deck. Thanks.

Thank you, everyone!  Now I think understand how the new HP functions...although I am disappointed.  Our community appears to have taken it on the chin, so to speak, for the sake of advertising $$ for the new owners.  It is indeed a shame.

Comments are not available on all sites, but we are working on them.

Commenting is enabled on the following sites, but, at the moment, users will not get any comment notifications.

      https://axleaddict.com/
      https://wanderwisdom.com/
      https://letterpile.com/
      https://soapboxie.com/
      https://delishably.com/
      https://pairedlife.com/

The comment box is below the recommended for you section. The easiest way to find it is to keyword search the word comments. It’s the second occurrence of the word comments in the article unless that word appears in the body of the article.

Genna, I am glad to have you back. Comments however are a contentious issue and many people are leaving or considering doing so because of both that and the amount of intrusive advertising through our articles.

You can’t comment on articles that are on the original HubPages or Discover, but if you have the patience you can comment on articles on a number of the niche sites like LetterPile, AxelAddict, Delishably etc.
Beneath the title and lead video you should be able to find  “comment” next to the Facebook and Pinterest icons. Click on that then wait a few seconds.  If you scroll down a bit a comment window should appear. You can comment there but it will ask for your email address then send you a code which you need to enter. Then you are finally free to leave a comment. However neither the author or reader are notified that there has been a comment, so you need to check your articles randomly to see if any comments were made ..which makes the whole process a waste of time, especially if you have hundreds of articles.
That is why most of us are just commenting via email or sharing each others work in the forums for others to comment there.

Hi Genna!  It is so nice to see you here again, and I hope you are doing well. As others have stated in their comments, this is a very different community. I miss those early days, the vote/comment features, and the inspiration to keep going. Still, there are many good people here, and John Hansen (Jodah) among others have been incredibly supportive.  I do love the niche sites but miss the freedom to choose my own ad products as they pertain to my articles. All the best, Cat
