Hey, did anyone else see this niche site? I guess I missed the memo again. There are only 2 articles. The authors don't come up on HP when you click on their names. What's up with that?
Wow! Thanks for sharing this info, Janis. I can see two articles. One of the two articles was written by HP's staff member (editor) Jake Anderson!
Nothing comes up when you click the names because clicking on the author's name on a niche site does not backlink to HubPages.
Wow! A staff member, huh? Mmm. Thanks, Misbah.
Wouldn’t it be great if we could all get niche sites to promote our specific interests? Sweet!
I will have to check it out! Thanks for the heads up, Janis!
Yep, I missed the memo, too. Guess we all did!
Here is the official announcement for The Crime Wire launch.
Yeah, one of my articles has been moved to there recently. I haven't checked the site properly yet.
I did not see any mention of this either.
I wonder if they will migrate all the crime content from Soapboxie over. It would be nice to break up the politics from policing/crime, and make Soapboxie more focused.
Yes Misbah looks like a new niche site.I guess I missed it in the memo .
Thanks for pointing this out, Jan. I never saw a memo about this, and So I am sure there wasn’t one. I just read the HubPage Weekly and there was no mention of it there. There should be a lot of articles move in the days ahead.
Who knows? Maybe just an HP experiment to create some mystery and suspense...
I believe True Crime is popular and exciting. Anyone with an article that fits this niche should submit it. Which brings my next question: Can we submit articles to Crime Wire?
Good question. It definitely is a hot topic. I, personally, am not into it.
Correct me if I am wrong but I am not seeing any ads on the landing page or on the articles. Therefore if you do submit and accepted there you would not earn anything from an article there.
It does look like a new niche site, Janis. Looks very interesting.
I knew nothing about it...but you ate right...It's there, with only 2 authors.
Thanks for the heads up.
I disagree. Why are they starting a new site when multiple writers here are saying that their earnings are low? Is the Arena Group actually doing well financially from articles on the platform? Is the purpose of the new site to make more money for the company or to experiment and see what works best with respect to income for everyone? There are too many questions.
You have a good point, Linda. I remember when HP made changes, Paul explained the reasoning behind them and how it would benefit the writers as well as HP. Two to three sentences from Matt or another HP staff would handle these valid questions.
I miss the HubPages of the past. I understand that businesses need to change over time to remain relevant and make a profit, but I don’t think some of the changes here have been for the best. Increased communication with the writers via the forum could be helpful.

Hi. I have been a member for 14 years and have recently come back after about 8 years away. A lot of my hubs are pretty poor especially after being left for so long. Should i start a new account or just delete all the rubbish ones and continue creating content. Thanks

What is more fun? Writing dozens of articles for a niche or writing all sorts of articles from holidays to teeth whitening? And leave aside the fun, what about the money - which has more potential? What would you rather do as a writer on HP - niche writing or free lancing?

I’d like to start by explaining that my articles are all published to niche sites except one which is still pending consideration. I’ve edited and revamped these articles to death. I’ve waited for these changes to kick in despite that, less than 30 views per day on some that seem to perform on a...

Hi,Do more experienced Hubbers have any useful tips for getting your article moved to a niche site? I kept seeing advice that goes something like "make sure you write a high-quality article" but it just seems so vague to me. I have 9 articles now and the only one that was moved to a niche...
