Yes, fellow writers. It's not a dream and it's not a hallucination either. Today, Italy decided to immediately ban ChatGPT due to privacy concerns. I sincerely hope now that other countries follow Italy's example.

That's another topic for another discussion. This is about OpenAI being so irresponsible and dangerous that one country's government immediately decided to ban its operations in their country.

I think it shows us all that we need to take AI very seriously and see its obvious holes when it comes to security. I hope more countries will follow and ban this technology.

When asked for a comment, this is what ChatGPT replied:

"As an AI language model, I don't have physical presence and I can be accessed from anywhere in the world, including Italy. Therefore, I don't have the ability to be banned in a particular country like a physical entity would. Additionally, I don't have any awareness of any such ban, as I'm just an artificial intelligence program and don't have the capacity to monitor or keep track of legal matters or geopolitical events."

Scary, but I guess it refers to the fact that if people in Italy decide to change their VPN to a non-Italian one, they should still be able to access it, right?

But a part of me tells me that the government 100% knows this as well, so maybe there are some additional procedures in place to stop people from accessing it if they decide to do so.

Stupid and silly ChatGpt is talking nonsense. It has a real global precense.                                   Though the presense is virtual, it equates physical reality. Because the machine or device, even if it were a laptop, is physical.

I am glad to hear this news. AI could be very useful in some areas of society and deserves to be investigated. The pace of advancement and the ability of the general public to access the various versions of AI is worrying, though.

As I wrote in another thread – if it could learn to become a helpful tool in, for instance, healthcare and thus help to save lives, then go on.

But if it's here to steal people's jobs and make rich companies even wealthier than they already are, then it should be a huge no-no.

I've tried testing the program multiple times, and the answers are far from intelligent and show clear biases in multiple areas. It's just another 'rushed' product that really hasn't been thought all the way through.
