Read this article by Ravi about how to comfort a dying partner :

    https://discover.hubpages.com/relations … ng-Partner

It's also great that in this article it states the common discomforts of a person who is critically ill like noise, bright lights, stressful environment, arguing relatives, etc. for awareness. Definitely agree with the last, "never say everything's gonna be okay to a dying person" rather be with them in the moment and make sure to do something all about the stuff they might be bothered or scared about.

    Thank you for sharing Ravi.

This is a wonderful article that offers very good advice on how to deal with this challenging time. I have had several loved ones die, and it is never easy to make conversation that doesn't sound trite or depressing. Thank you for writing this Ravi, and thank you for sharing it, Gianella.

This sounds like good advice, Ravi. I like the 4 steps you covered, and I know listening is so imporant, We are all different, so we may want different things at the end like music, conversation, etc.

Thanks for posting Ravi's article, Gianella.

    Ravi...
Just being there to listen really comforts one the most & by all means...never tell them that it is going to be okay.

They want you to understand that it's not okay and they will be leaving soon.
    Accept it.

    Some good points.

I watched each of my parents die. They were both apparently unconscious at the time, though they may have been able to hear what was going on. I talked to them in case they could hear.

You have created an interesting article of high quality, Ravi, as you always do. It seems to have been created from the references, though. I think the article could be improved by sharing your personal experience of the death of a loved one. Showing how you dealt with the situation or comforted the person—even if that comfort doesn’t apply to all deaths, which you should point out—could add an important highlight to the article.

In addition, I notice that your references don’t mention dealing with death. It would be good to add more specific references to the list.

Most people including me would be in a dilemma about how to deal with a dying loved one. Your article certainly offers good advice, and I made a note of them. Thank you so much for sharing, Ravi.
