I've changed my PayPal email address this month and earnings haven't arrived yet. Is it just me?

No, Bev, it is not just you. I didn't receive my payout either. Just so you know, I changed my PayPal email address last month and didn't have any problems with payout at all. Must be something else this month.

Bev, when I changed the PayPal email address, I emailed the team to see if there would be a delay with my payout. Matt responded and said that there wouldn't be a delay, and there wasn't.

            I certainly backed up mine.

The editors are still plugging away, trying hard to improve the SEO of articles. The problem is that Google is attempting to bypass SEO by simply rewarding "big" online brands and Reddit.

Google controls the internet and will do so until it stops being the go-to search engine for users (in the Western world, at least). The WWW was a healthier place when there was competition between multiple search engines and no dominant one.

That makes you one of the 17% minority who don't use Google.

I mainly use Google because I like to know what's going on with it and what the majority of my readers are experiencing. I also use Bing.

                According to SEO.com:

"Google holds 83% of the desktop search engine market share worldwide. (source) The runners-up are Bing, with 9% of the market share, Yahoo!, with 3%, and Yandex, with 2%."

I am also updating and editing things like Amazon links on HP, it ain't over till it's over. But it doesn't look good.

Save money? It's a search engine... and there is also a browser. It's supposed to protect your privacy although there have been some criticisms of it in the past.

I use Opera on my tablet, Vivaldi on my laptop and DDG on my phone. I don't like having Google know everything about me.

My passwords are saved in the DropBox passwords manager (it's rubbish but better than nothing). I make a point of never allowing businesses to keep my card details so enter them afresh each time.

As I said, I don't like the idea of one company knowing everything about me... so no Google Chrome, no Google tracking, all Google privacy settings set to the max, and just one Gmail address used for unimportant stuff.

Let's say this will actually happen to HP. What if we decide to move our articles to another site and republish them to there. What if someone is stealing our articles amd we're unaware of it? Later,  DMCA notice accuses us of being the thief even we're actually the original creator. Who should be contacted to prove ownership of the articles if it happened.

      1. theraggededge profile image88
theraggededgeposted 3 months agoin reply to this

You could take a screenshot of the original HP copyright date before deleting the article. I'm just unpublishing them at the moment so they are still showing that original date.

There's always a delay after a bank holiday (we had one on Monday). I'm not getting payouts every month like I used to though because I don't hit threshold anymore. So that could also be the (unfortunate) issue.

      1. theraggededge profile image88
theraggededgeposted 3 months agoin reply to this

The US is not affected by UK/European Bank Holidays though, is it?

I always hit the threshold smile Although perhaps not for much longer, given the dire state of my traffic. I used to hit payout in the first two to three days of the month. Sadly, no more.

          Payment!!

The end of days has been been put on hold, postponed indefinitely until a decision is made about what might happen tomorrow based on the signs and uncertainties of the past algorithmical 24 hours, at least as far as we can ascertain, all things being equal in the eyes of the all monopolising Googlegod.

Or, as Matt keeps saying, HP is here to stay.

British bank holidays do sometimes coincide with public holidays in the US, in this case, it was Memorial Day here.

Holidays didn't used to affect HP payouts, though.

If you were due to get paid - because you reached the threshold of $50 at the **end of April**, then you should contact staff. The problem will very likely reoccur at the end of June.
