Hi, Friends. I was browsing LetterPile and came across an informative and educational post by author NKS.
His essay-type article compares the good old days with the modern-day turmoils. It deals with the lack of green spaces for walking and the impacts of it on our lives. It is a lengthy essay.

NK, I read your article and share the same thoughts regarding modern-day infrastructures, developers, and city planners for their lack of sense regarding nature's role and human welfare.

I wouldn't give TAG the view, to be honest.

I propose that the HP staff should devise a mechanism to retain some activity on Hubpages.com by providing dual links to an article that has been published on network sites. Whoever doesn't want to go to the network site can view the article locally when we have that kind of option.

Venka, TAG doesn't care about us OR HP. There's no way they'll promote or facilitate traffic to HP and its authors. That has become quite clear.

But they couldn't (or wouldn't) even fix the comments or stats so they're not going to invest time and money in implementing your suggestion.

You have to understand, Venka, that HubPages is finished.

Venka, it's pretty easy now to extrapolate that TAG is not interested in HP thriving. If you go to their other platforms, you will see they are upgrading those platforms. They are putting their energy into those, not HP. However, they have stolen the writers' content from HP and placed it on those platforms. They are even taking content that writers have removed. It's flagrant. HP is not a safe place to write and flourish as a writer.

I agree with everyone’s views in the replies above. I only hold onto a positive hope that someday, some good things will happen.

Let's keep communicating on the Forums, at least to keep the site active.

That's good, Venka. Those positive things that happen just don't occur on their own. We have to be vigilant and expose what TAG has and is doing.

Hi Venka - Many of us miss the unique and engaging writer's community HP and its members used to support. By the way, those paintings are stunning...are they by Utamaro by any chance?

I loved this article as well.  It highlights humanity’s disassociation with our life support systems, the beauty of nature we are a part of, and on which our very survival depends.

Thanks for expressing your opinions, Genna.

No, those paintings were by a local artist in Bangalore, who drew and painted on the walls of our community hall. He painted a few more scenes on the walls throughout the lobby.
