   Something terrible has just happened today, I lost two fans. I wonder whos toes I stepped on. I can't remember fighting with anyone. I'm so sad. zs

      Awwww Zsuzsy. Don't take it personally--it probably didn't have anything to do with you. I dropped out of someone's fan club not long ago (not yours--I'm still your fan!) and the reason was that I liked one of their hubs enough to become a fan, but found as time went on that they usually wrote about technical subjects that I didn't care much about so I dropped out, only because my hubtivity list was getting sooooooo long. Don't feel sad--you are beloved around here

      Zsuzsy Bee,--- our hub lists do become crowded and it's hard to move thru them....I'm sure they just did it for that....you've never said anything negative...hang in there and keep hubbing...you'll gain others.... reminds me of when I did a 3 day seminar...worked my rear off and i got 26 positives on rating and 1 negative and I fumed all day about the one negative....lol

    Now I feel bad. I wasn't begging for fans. Even after being a member for 6 months I still get feel excited when I get a new fan.
    But Thanks Marc and Tiff. I'm happy now. I'm back at the 211 fans.
    (If my daughter were at home right now She would say 'mom you're such a big baby')

       I'm the same way. I feel a sting when someone unsubscribes from one of my lists and even WORSE if they post a bad comment when they do it Luckily, it happens rarely - but it happens to all of us.

          I still get nervous when I see that one of my unsubscribes left a comment.  Usually they just say too much e-mail and sometimes they actually say something helpful, but I'm always afraid that someone is going to say something bad about me.  But hey, you can't please everybody.  And if you do please everybody then you're probably not doing much of anything.

    I was going through Hubtivity one day, Zsuzsy Bee, when I saw that two people had become my fans. But I noticed there were two entries for each of them, indicating that they had accidentally double clicked. When I looked at my total it had jumped to 100 fans. Later it dropped to 99, and a little later it fell to 98. I realized that HubPages must have made the correction. I'll bet that's what happened to you. None of these nice people on HubPages would ever drop you from their fan club, I'm sure.

    Hi Zs!! I would guess that it only had to do with HP moderating spam, etc., and deleting some of those hubbers.  I lost a few fans too recently and was worried, but checked my Hubtivity and didn't see anyone specifically leaving my fan club.  I'm chalking it up to HubPages' spring cleaning.

    Hi ZB- I know how you feel- someone dropped me off their friends list at Yuwie and I was like "What??" What did I say or do?? But like everyone else said here- they will come and go,

    I know how you feel....I work in a field where rejection and objections are part of the daily challenge.  You never get used to it.  I was taught that every NO brings you one step closer to the next YES.  It's pure mathmatics....odds are you will pick up many many more fans than those few you lose.....cuz you're good at what you're doing!

    I never know when I lose fans because I can't ever remember the number of fans I have.  I'm just not good with numbers...can barely remember my phone number.  My mind just blocks it out.  I will even look at the clock to check the time...but, numbers...so, I always have to look at least twice for the time to register.

       I'm like that too, Stacie. I  was born knowing English grammar, but just can't hold numbers in my head. Glad to know I'm not the only one. I can never remember how many fans I have either. I'm always surprisedLOL -- I also get lost a lot because I have trouble with directions(left and right) too. And let's not even talk about spatial relations and simple arithmetic

    I can spell just about anything.  I remember words and letters...but numbers and I just don't mesh.  My aunt can see or hear a phone number once, and remember it ten years later.

       me too me too-- I used to win spelling bees in school and not be able to do long division. I do remember my landline phone # because I've had it for 10 years, but I still have to look up my own cell which I've had for four years.
