A new week is starting and this time we are going to be writing about a very important and serious topic: Protecting our children.  Most people around the world are not aware that June is a month dedicated to child awareness issues.  The month starts with the International children's Day  on the 1st June and follows with the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression  on the 4th of June.

The first one; the International Children's day has multiple origins but the core idea is children's welfare.  The second one; the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression originated at the United Nations General Assembly in 1982 to provide a better place for the children victimized for mental, emotional and physical abuse.

In order to help protect our own children and children all over the world, this week we are going to try to help bring awareness to children's rights.  Let's make an effort and don't just close our eyes to the fact that almost 30,000 children die every day from the side-effects of violence.  The awareness of this reality can help change things for the better.

Some ideas for a hub on protecting our children are:

    History of International children's day
    The UNICEF
    Child welfare
    Malnutrition in children
    Child soldiers
    Child labour
    Children's health
    Protecting children
    Promoting healthy lives;
    Providing quality education;
    Protecting against abuse, exploitation and
    Violence
Combating HIV and AIDS in children (it is also Aid's testing day on June 27th)

You can also write about child issues in general, like:
    The best education
    Parent's roles
    Teaching responsibility to children
    Learning issues
    The Internet and children
Best educational children's games and toys
    Bringing up children
    Children's books

If you took part in the Children's health HubMob a few weeks ago don't forget to add a link to your Children's health hub from your new Children's hub this week for some extra internal links to your hubs.

To join this week's HubMob please follow the steps below:

    1. YOU MUST START YOUR HUB CLICKING THIS LINK.  Choose the Answer the Request green button.  Choose the MAKE A HUB ABOUT IT option.

    2. Choose a relevant title for your Hub to get a good ranking in the search engines, AVOID starting your title with "Weekly HubMob"

    3. If necessary change the category on your hub to best suit your topic.  I have selected the:
Holidays & Celebrations; International and United Nations Holidays; International Children's Day.  You might want to change the category to another one that best suits your hub.

    4. Include the HubMob RSS Feed in your hub:  http://hubpages.com/question/51222/hubm … ew&rss
For more information on how to add the RSS feed to your hub you can click here

    5. Add the HubMob graphic below or Jens graphic at the start of this thread to your hub so that everyone who reads it will know that it is part of the official HubMob topic of the week.

    6. After you publish your HubMob Hub, come back to the forum and post a link to your hub with a brief description of what you wrote about and why.  Take advantage of the free publicity!

If you are still not sure about what is a HubMob and the benefits of taking part in one I created this guide http://hubpages.com/hub/What-is-a-HubMo … o-join-one  please feel free to come up with any questions if you have any doubts left.

I'm having trouble getting the RSS feed onto my hub.  I clicked on the RSS under #4 and it comes up as a file instead of a feed.  Any suggestions?  My hub is ready to publish once I get this into it!!  Yay!

Thank you!  I told my husband I was having trouble and he came over, took one look at what I was doing and one click later had it up for me!  I was trying to do it the hard way. :-)

This is a great idea for a hubmob.  It is a subject close to many people's hearts, so I certainly hope to create at least one hub on this topic.

One question: can you turn an old hub into a hubmob?

        1. Princessa profile image80
Princessaposted 13 years agoin reply to this

          No, it's not possible.

All HubMob hubs MUST be started from the answer the request link above.

what you can do is link to any hub that is of similar context, subject. you could make a hyperlink in your new hub to an existing one. or include it in a link capsule.

I will like to start by thanking Princessa and other hubbers responsible for hubmob for choosing this topic for this week. Here is my first for this weeek

          internet and children

It pains me whenever i see that the internet has been filled with all sorts of unhealthy contents. For this reason, I have written this hub to give parents tips on how to handle this.

Hope you will enjoy and learn from it.

I would like to comment on the children use & thank the person whom tried to give some guide lines, we should have our pc's in view of ourselves, so that we can be the monitors of the instrument, true they will give backlash but if we are doing the right thing we should hold firm, & the spirit of right & wrong should prevail if we have given the right upbringing or instilled in them to listen to the spirit in them, we are the manufactors.

Once a hub is published, it can't be added to the HubMob.
If you have another hub in the works that fits this week's topic, you can publish that one as part of the HubMob, and include a link in it to the scooter hub.

The article is very timely as International children's Day  on the 1st June and followed with the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression  on the 4th of June  will enlighten us about the child development.  The author reminds us: " Let's make an effort and don't just close our eyes to the fact that almost 30,000 children die every day from the side-effects of violence". We should also remember Wordsworth's famous line:"The child is the father of man."

Your hub is in the RSS and you have a HubMob graphic.  You just need to put an RSS capsule with the feed for this HubMob, which is:

                                    http://hubpages.com/question/51222/hubm … ew&rss

You can refer to Princessa's hub for a 'how to' on adding the RSS capsule and feed to your hub:

Mine might seem at first to go against the grain, because mine is about over-protecting kids and the damage it's doing the way I see it.  So, here ya go:
