I don't know what is going on with my traffic the last few days.. I have seen a drop from 400 a day to 200, my stats froze earlier also.. my best hub was seeing 75 a day a few weeks ago and 30-40 the weeks after.. it has gone to an all time low of 8 this evening!
I think the stats are broken. Check tomorrow with analytics - you should be fine.
Don't worry - traffic fluctuates. My hubs changes positions and views frequently except for a few that tend to draw more traffic because of the subject.
I get over a lot of things & move on, I'm sure I'll be fine
I'm not doubting that. It's just seen as foolish to open a thread about it. Especially, when you could probably find some other threads in the past, which have addressed it.
If you traffic is dropping then it is due to factors beyond your control. Thus, it doesn't need to be made public, simply because it is going to happen from time to time.
If every person opened a thread based on what you did, then there would be so many threads opened that there would be no reason to respond to any of them. What are you going to do? Post in every single thread that brings up the subject. Sounds like a waste of time, for which, could be better spent doing something more productive.
I actually read some useful responses here.. I'm not going to search back ten pages for a thread which might address it
Ive seen far worse threads opened
I agree Rich, like the peaceful spread of..... now where was it, can't seem to remember....
I saw these too! the peaceful spread of Islam on hubpages lol thats what I wanted to comment in those threads anyway, but I'd rather not waste my time in there! which could be spent doing something useful as somebody once said lol
It's alright Rich, fun is supposed to be a good thing in life, though at HP, it's often made to appear like a 'waste of time'....Never known a place more determined NOT to enjoy things... !
Okay, you want to start with that Myownworld?
Richie opened to talk about traffic dropping.
It was put under the heading/category -
HubPages Knowledge Exchange - Tragic drop in traffic
So, that does not make it a game. It is in exchange of knowledge. Yet, everyone insists on making a pathetic game out of it.
Games are PLAYED IN the Sandpit forum thread.
So, I guess that leaves one question- Do he want help? or Is it a game?(if game, then the thread needs to be reported to HubPages, so as to move it to the sandpit.
But, by all means, let's throw the rules of HubPages out the window, so everyone can just do what they want to do. Thus, anarchy reigns supreme, while the "business" aspects goes down the tubes.
No wonder why no one wants to come to the forum anymore. Points to the main reason many of those who were here, are NOT here anymore. Most of these people are STILL on HubPages, but simply do not want to be part of the forum community anymore, because of the childish antics of many.
How did I intend for it to be a game, I'm confused now
I suppose there is only so much one can say about traffic dropping, it all re sets itself anyway after the hubpage stats freeze or become inaccurate.
Ok. Cags. I'm sorry. I was talking to Rich, not starting anything. I think I have been on HP for 9 months without ever being the cause of pushing anyone away from the forums. But thank you for just putting me off them. Take care.
And, btw- you leave the forums is your decision. Not my fault.
Don't you know that you're only allowed to be funny if you add half a dozen smileys to either side of your sentence to let others know that you're trying to be funny.
HubPages are more than capable of policing THEIR website, and unless THEY say otherwise, do as you please.
As you said earlier - Never known a place more determined NOT to enjoy things... ! -
Some people just take themselves way too seriously - just ignore them. If the joking around had to stop then none of us would be here except 'them' !
Having a bad day Ray? That is definitely more tragic than a drop in traffic
Don't say that. He might start a new one! Don't mind Richie's duplicate thread, different day different issues, and indeed the stats here were definitely frozen yesterday as well, but puh-lease don't get that "peacefully spreading" guy started again!
Don't worry they go up and down like a yo-yo happens to me all the time lol.
traffic can get busy, sometimes people just need to chill out and relax and maybe that's what people do now and then....This week I've been mostly eating cabbage water!
Hey Blondepoet, how are you today? Actually, it's almost midnight there, so it would be better to ask how "was" your day?
Hi Cags it is 7.53am here Thursday morning, eating a toasted chicken sanger and already I have spilled sauce on myself.
Dang I am one messy eater lol.
Ahhhh.... I see, my time was way off.
Oh well, cannot win them all.
maybe I nicked some of your traffic
I have been very pleased of late with my traffic as I have not been very active at all
yet my high for traffic over 24 hours is climbing slowly, now if only they would click more often
you can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make it drink.
I've argued with a horse before, because I thought it was one of my friends!
i've dated horses before... and boy did they like to drink! (apple martinis usually)
But they always seem sad, with their long faces!
and always swatting at flies (usually the one on my pants) with their tail
you two...how do you do it?? No, not THAT, but turn every thread around, even one like this!!!
I wouldn't let a horse hit you with it's tallywacker!
How did you know my ex's name was Talia Wacker?
I've met so many tallywhackers in my walk in life. So many walking around with the same name even in OZ.
Greek and Way both disappeared together! Rather suspicious, don't you think??
Mmmmmmm very odd. Well MOW I think this situation calls for the Wonder Feline Duo, let's find a empty phone box to don our wonder costumes.
yes you can ... a pair of bricks works wonders. (with proper alignment)
Minor tragedy in the vast scope of things my friend ......... this too shall pass....
I am not that far off my adsense threshold either and last few days have been a drought of clicks
My traffic is on the up at the moment when I look at my analytics...must be one of them things, traffic was down a few weeks ago though!!
Yeah I think something is efinitely wrong, it says Ive only seen 29 views from hp and my analytics is much higher
It's better to be cheery than be dreary, when a forum thread is deader than a nuns fanjita, why let it die, when a bit of humour can cheer us up!
Do not worry Waynet. Wasn't being dreary, was being realistic.
Not everyone constantly checks forum constantly, so when you keep it going there maybe more serious answers later
I did not say you were the cause. Therefore you are reading more into what I said then needs be.
I definitely was looking for answers myself though, something has been wrong with my stats
One thing some of the oldtimers had to drill into my head when I got here is that traffic is an up and down thing.
Monday you're up. Tuesday you're down, Wednesday back up again.
(Okay Cags and Way...I can already hear the "up and down" jokes formulating!)
Anyway, look at your traffic over the long run, see if it's trending up or down.
I'm not saying ignore warning signs, but if you think something is wrong, hop over to "Official HubPages Announcements" and take a look.
If you don't see anything there, take a bit and watch.
By all means if you think something is amiss, post something.
But you can work yourself into a frenzy if you let every traffic drop bother you.
Like yesterday I had a Hub get hits out of the blue and it was my highest visited Hub.
Today it's fallen, but that's because someone linked to it on a forum yesterday and now, that post has been read and most people that are gonna look at that Hub have already done so.
Good Lord...I'm writing a novel here....
Anyway, hope that helped some!
I think there was a jumble/freeze of stats, its looking better now but was bad all afternoon!
It's happening to me now too
The traffic has dropped by more than half D:
My traffic is down too! But such things normally happy here and HubPages would fix it fast.
wow. I wonder what the forums used to be like.
Traffic seems to fluctuate. I can only speak from two months experience, but I suppose traffic is somewhat like life in general. Sometimes you're hot. Sometimes you're not. And sometimes the system is at fault. Try to take it all with a grain of salt.
My question is, how do you find time to keep coming back to the same forum for commenting, and participating in conversations? I guess when I figure that out, I'll become a real blogger.
yes we do!
(not literally of course, and I am a married man and my wife would look down upon something like that)
Thank you.... you're all great...
And hey greek, it's OK for married people to love others as friends...
And Rich....you never realized how 'tragic' this thread would actually become now, did you?
Cheer up now... hope the traffic picks up soon...x

So far, I've lost about 15% of my traffic, since Panda 3.3 began rolling out earlier this week! It's annoying as I'd only just brought some traffic back up by editing and deleting Amazon hubs after a post-Xmas slump that I've struggled to get out of! It feels like Google wants to keep...

I experienced a drop in earnings early in the year. As I've been here for eight years, I didn't worry about it, usually it stabilizes by Spring. But now it's April, and I am making about one third of what I was making a year ago, a huge disappointment.I have 142 articles and all of them have been...

I've posted several new hubs lately, and I guess I'd be doing even worst if I hadn't. Still, I find myself becoming depressed looking at my numbers. Maybe it is better for my mental health if I just don't look at my traffic for a while. If I take a little vacation, maybe it will all be good when I...

Since HubPages is changing their focus to feeding their new niche sites, where will you be moving your hubs that don't fit the new sites?I highly doubt they'll make any new sites that have anything to do with any of the topics I write on the way I write on them so I'll likely need new homes for all...

I'm not being funny here, the hubstats yet only change 3 or 4 times a week, if you are lucky. Not to mention hubs take over 24 hours to publish. No mentions about it on the blog, no apologies, it isn't like the issue hasn't been ongoing for a while now...Anybody have any idea? Hope I've missed...

What prompted this thread?I have exactly 700 connections at the moment. The problem? Over 650 of them are total slackers. It's getting to be a tough town over there, leastwise for me. And I've been a good little Bubbler as to treating my connections well.Guess maybe I should start writing hubs...
