Tragic drop in traffic

   I don't know what is going on with my traffic the last few days.. I have seen a drop from 400 a day to 200, my stats froze earlier also.. my best hub was seeing 75 a day a few weeks ago and 30-40 the weeks after.. it has gone to an all time low of 8 this evening!

      I think the stats are broken. Check tomorrow with analytics - you should be fine.

      Don't worry - traffic fluctuates. My hubs changes positions and views frequently except for a few that tend to draw more traffic because of the subject.

         I'm not doubting that. It's just seen as foolish to open a thread about it. Especially, when you could probably find some other threads in the past, which have addressed it.
         
         If you traffic is dropping then it is due to factors beyond your control. Thus, it doesn't need to be made public, simply because it is going to happen from time to time.
         
         If every person opened a thread based on what you did, then there would be so many threads opened that there would be no reason to respond to any of them. What are you going to do? Post in every single thread that brings up the subject. Sounds like a waste of time, for which, could be better spent doing something more productive.
         
         That's all.

                        It was put under the heading/category -
                        
                        HubPages Knowledge Exchange - Tragic drop in traffic
                        
                        So, that does not make it a game. It is in exchange of knowledge. Yet, everyone insists on making a pathetic game out of it.
                        
                        Games are PLAYED IN the Sandpit forum thread.
                        
                        So, I guess that leaves one question- Do he want help? or Is it a game?(if game, then the thread needs to be reported to HubPages, so as to move it to the sandpit.
                        
                        But, by all means, let's throw the rules of HubPages out the window, so everyone can just do what they want to do. Thus, anarchy reigns supreme, while the "business" aspects goes down the tubes.
                        
                        No wonder why no one wants to come to the forum anymore. Points to the main reason many of those who were here, are NOT here anymore. Most of these people are STILL on HubPages, but simply do not want to be part of the forum community anymore, because of the childish antics of many.
                        
                        Enough said.

          One thing some of the oldtimers had to drill into my head when I got here is that traffic is an up and down thing.
          Monday you're up. Tuesday you're down, Wednesday back up again.
          (Okay Cags and Way...I can already hear the "up and down" jokes formulating!)
          Anyway, look at your traffic over the long run, see if it's trending up or down.
          I'm not saying ignore warning signs, but if you think something is wrong, hop over to "Official HubPages Announcements" and take a look.
          If you don't see anything there, take a bit and watch.
          By all means if you think something is amiss, post something.
          But you can work yourself into  a frenzy if you let every traffic drop bother you.
          Like yesterday I had a Hub get hits out of the blue and it was my highest visited Hub.
          Today it's fallen, but that's because someone linked to it on a forum yesterday and now, that post has been read and most people that are gonna look at that Hub have already done so.
          
          Good Lord...I'm writing a novel here....
          
          Anyway, hope that helped some!

    wow. I wonder what the forums used to be like.
    Traffic seems to fluctuate. I can only speak from two months experience, but I suppose traffic is somewhat like life in general. Sometimes you're hot. Sometimes you're not. And sometimes the system is at fault. Try to take it all with a grain of salt.
    My question is, how do you find time to keep coming back to the same forum for commenting, and participating in conversations? I guess when I figure that out, I'll become a real blogger.
