I was pumping out the intel (sometimes pointless, silly intel that got me lots of negative reviews!) just to get some Qassia $, but I stopped about a month or two ago just to wait and see what they'd do as a website.  Still a little unsure about their system over there, so I'm going to continue to wait before I start writing again just to see where they're going.

I think that's a great idea.  I've been kind of wondering myself!

Hi, all--nothing wrong with starting with a jared sauce as a base but like you said, you really need to spice it up some.  Besides the regular garlic, try some more oregano, a touch of basil and some fennel (crushed).  And instead of all beef, try half beef and half a roll of Italian sausage.  Of course, you can go with just sliced Italian sausage.  Or boil a couple of chicken breasts, shred in large chunks, brown quickly with onions and peppers and put that all in the sauce.  Good eats!!

YUM!  I love doing half beef and half sausage in my sauce.  Fresh basil and oregano are super!  I will try the fennel.  I enjoy planting herb starts in outdoor pots and then using them in my recipes.  They are always there and I don't have to pay high prices at the store and then waste most of the herbs that go bad before I can use the remainder.

Since there's no REAL topic on here except silliness and side conversations, allow me to contribute once again:

Is anyone here really into online videos?  Or does anyone upload video to any video-hosting websites such as metacafe, revver, veoh, blip.tv, stupidvideos, yahoovideos, etc etc?

Like to what, post videos? I've been doing a lot of research on it lately (and a few video submissions myself)...there's some pretty interesting stuff in it and certainly some money in it.  I've been kicking around the idea of doing a hub on the topic.  I haven't done one yet because I've already got two pending hubs that I'm still working on, but it might be a good hub topic for the future...

Isn't it difficult to video let alone upload what could be a mess  !!!! and could'nt that have a detrimental effect on your site ????

Sorry it could be me getting hold of the wrong end of the stick..

Do you mean making your own videos, which is very expensive or do you mean downloading from the likes of youtube etc..??

Sorry if im on the wrong tack but I thought anything to do with videos could be expensive and if not done correctly could affect the website you upload it to.

            1. WeddingConsultant profile image64
WeddingConsultantposted 17 years agoin reply to this

Yeah I was talking about making my own videos, but there are two sides to the coin here- HUBS or WEBSITE.

There's nothing wrong with getting videos off of youtube, metacafe or revver to put into your hub here at hubpages.  I've done that with several of my hubs.  BUT, i'm killing two birds with one stone- I took MY videos that I uploaded to those sites and put them in my hub!  So I'm getting props for the hubs being looked at AND i'm getting props for people who look at my hub and watch my videos!

As far as a personal (moneymaking or otherwise) website is concerned yeah, you shouldn't just post some cheezy video that is poorly done.  But you also shouldn't wait a year to have the must cutting edge, brilliantly executed video on your site.  Decent video is better than no video at all, or so they say.  SMARTS says that, at least, right?

for sure let me know when you do this, I would like to read it.  I have heard that you need video for the money making hubs.

WeddingConsultantposted 17 years agoin reply to this

    1. WeddingConsultant profile image64
WeddingConsultantposted 17 years agoin reply to this

Bob, you should do it, it's the way to go.  Everytime someone watches a video in a hub, youtube tracks that as a "view," so if your hub is popular your youtube video will be gaining popularity as well.  It's a win - win

    Hooray for Friday

  17. WeddingConsultant profile image64
    WeddingConsultantposted 17 years ago

    haha no problem sweetiepie

and simco, an added bonus to revver.com - they pay you for views and how many ad impressions your video gets!  If your video only has like 40 views you're probably looking at a penny or two, but if you can get a good video on there and have it viewed like 1,000 times, you could see a couple dollars.  It's not much, but when you compound that with your hubpages earnings (if you're doing that, which I am not...haha), then it adds up!

For me, producing your own video is a no-brainer.
