Brr a southerly change just blew in and I swear the wind came straight off Antarctica. Winter's approaching fast.

Raining and pretty cool here in Ontario, but then it usually is for May 2-4 weekend.

I bet my idea of cold and your idea of cold are different things. *G* From what I've heard Canada does cold with style. Autumn always brings on the changeable weather, though. It was actually quite warm today until the wind blew in, dropping the temp by at least 10 degrees C.

It's not cold all year around here.  Today it's about 15 degrees C at 9:25 in the morning.

I didn't mean that! I was thinking autumn/winter cold more than spring/summer. The temp tomorrow is supposed to get up to 17C in Sydney. It was 21 today.I've heard, from various people, that Canada in the summer can be almost as hot as here, just a little more humid.

Ah, yes you're right.  Sounds like your temps are like ours right now.  Yes again, it gets HOT AND HUMID in Ontario in summer time, especially August.  You don't want to move because just breathing makes you sweat.  It's very uncomfortable.  I still prefer it to winter though.

Hovalisposted 18 years agoin reply to this

I don't mind winter so much once I get used to the drop in temperature. But, then, it rarely gets down to O Celsius here. Humidity and I are not on good terms. I complain about it here in Sydney, and really it's not that bad. I much prefer a dry heat, but then I grew up inland where the humidity levels in summer were pretty low.

We get the same thing in Michigan. For me, the only good thing about summer, is the fishing. Come July, I start dreaming about November.

Stay cool.  I'm just back from my son's baseball game.  They called it 1/2 hour early because of the heat.  11:00 a.m. and it was already 89 degrees.  2 weeks ago, we had snow.

I speak from experience when I say, 4 years will become 24 more quickly than you may think. Seems Like I just got married a few years ago, but in August it will be 21 years. Same holds true for kids.

Hi, all--Been busy this weekend so have to catch up.

rmr, when in August?  For my husband and I our wedding anniversary date is August 17th---it will be our 44th!  And we're still best friends!  Counting the time we went together in high school, we've been together for 47 years now!  I am so blessed to have found the other half of my soul and heart -- my soul-mate for life.
