Grape tomatoes???  Never heard of that variety, are they smaller than cherry toms.

I am with you Ruthie, it doesn't matter to me.  I usually plant 2 steak, 3 big boys, and 2 cherry plants.  This keeps me busy.
I used to go to my grandma's and she would slice me a tomato and sprinkle some salt and sugar on it and make me a bologna sandwich and that was a great meal.  Awwwe memory's.

When you all were talking weather a while back--high of 68 today and lower 80's for the next 3-4 days!  That's the thing about Missouri--if you don't like the weather, just wait a few hours and it will change.

Watched some videos from the China earthquake this morning---those poor people!  So many dead and missing.  Such a horrible thing to happen--said a prayer for them all.  And now they are saying that there may be another hurricane or severe storm heading to that place in Africa.

What the heck is going on?!

  16. profile image0
    RUTHIE17posted 17 years ago

Steph--read that article and it's so, so sad!!  To lose so many children!  The buildings were something we did notice as we watched the videos.  Looked like most were built with cinder or concrete blocks and there didn't look to be many with any morter stuck to them.  Sub-standard construction probably is the cause of much of the damage.  Seems like the idea of "anything to save a buck" is happening even in China.

    1. stephhicks68 profile image88
stephhicks68posted 17 years agoin reply to this

It is so tragic, isn't it!  I can hardly read stories like that one, particularly as a mom.  Its awful that the schools collapsed while the govt buildings were in tact.
