This hub has all the right ingredients for a fun, light, and laugh out loud read. It's true, it's unique, and the narrative voice is delightful. Have fun.
Thank you for putting this link on forums. What a hoot and something we've all experience at one time or another. Just a great hub!
Yeah, Stan is pretty hilarious. I just read his last four and they're all pretty damn funny. He just amused the crap out of me for a half hour or so. I love being amused.
Thank you Shades for posting this. Really funny. Good to read hubs by talented writers such as Stan.
It was too funny to just comment on and move along.
That was a great hub to read It sounds like a something that everyone goes through, but not everyone can put into such great words.
He's a great writer and I laughed til I cried! Thanks for posting this link SB.
Thanks everybody. Especially you, Shades. I really appreciate it.
you will be getting lots more followers, it looks like, too tired to read now, i will come back to you tomorrow.
My pleasure. Something that funny has to be seen, and nobody will be Googling it.
Frankly, I'm still working on figuring out how to make a more reader friendly suggestion to HP. HubHopping is interesting. But there has to be some algorithm that could tabulate word count to time spent on page, then factor in comments and thumbs up... all done by hub category... to create a reading list or something so that gems like this one don't sink so quickly into the sea of marketing stuff. I see written all the time by the big earners not to worry about hubpage views. "It's search engines that count."
And that's great. But, what it ignores is that there ARE hubpage readers, so if we could find a way to index the reader friendly stuff FOR people who DO come to HP to read, then we (HP) could present a more reader friendly face that not only generates HP readership, but members and, therefore hubs. Imagine a writing site that actually values content that READERS like and not just spiders. Just a thought.
Not sure how it would work. Maybe they'll hire me and put me to it.
Thanks, Shades and Stan. A very good way to start the morning, by reading something like that hub.
thanks for posting this link. loved it!!
we've all felt the same way, haven't we?!
I shared with my followers and posted to facebook.
THAT is cool. I never even think of Facebook. I have one, I just never use it, so it never occurs to me. BUt then, I am the worst SEO person on all of HP. [sigh]
Thanks for the recommendation Shadesbreath! I have been a follower of Stan for awhile, but just haven't been keeping up with my reading of hubs lately. It was a fantistic hub! I'll have to keep up more with Stan.
I know. I turned off my notifications a long time ago, so I have to keep up with people manually. I suppose it's better that way, because I read them in chunks and get sort of a "theme" going on the days I have time to read.
He just published a new one and I was the first one there to comment. LOL
It earned a blog post from me. Wow that is really funny. Thank-you Shades for sharing.
It's a great hub, Shades - thx for bringing it to our attention. I made sure to comment and "up" it, for sure.

Recently I 'met' Mark Ewbie. I have not been following the Humor category so had no idea that there were hilarious hubs around. Today I was going through the hubbers section and decided to check out Shadesbreath....well if you have read either of these two hubbers hubs then you know what I...

I got a 50point hub score in 9 days, is it a bad or good sign? How can I increase my hub score?

Do you delete hub comments that are very generic if it appears the commenter hasn't read the hub?I notice my more popular hubs will get comments left that are just generic like "this was great thanks". I have started deleting these comments because they don't add anything meaningful...

I have a question about the blue thumbs on Hubs. If I click on the thumbs up, I also can click on the reasons i.e.; interesting, funny, beautifu, awesome, etc. What happens if I read a lens and feel it should be reported for some sort of abuse? Do I give it a thumbs down, and if so, does the writer...

In terms of quality, I would like to achieve the 100 rating as a writer and keep my hubs above 90. I would really appreciate feedback on my writing style, skills, strengths, weaknesses, etc and suggestions for improving. I did just learn from another make-over that I should wait awhile...
