Do you remember the hubber that gave you your first comment? ... or became your first fan.
I hit my one year mark on Hubpages a few weeks ago and it made me think about when I started out and why, and that reminded me of my first comment and how excited/grateful I was, and what a nice comment it was. This person's name came up in a thread I was just reading which again reminded me that I wanted to start this thread.
Anyway, my first comment on my first hub (which I recently had to remove) was Sufidreamer!
Woah, I hardly even remember the name of the first one. I think it was this hubber who was into solar heating and that sort of thing, and his name was Irwin or something. He's not really active on HP anymore.
Misha was one of the first that joined my fan club after that.
I've only been around a couple of months but it was Kimberleylyrics and I was so pleased because I felt like I was on my way.
I was so nervous because I had no fans and kept to myself for about 2 months [lyricsingray] last year]
and I was blown away by this guy who wrote hubs on helping hubbers and our how our system works.
I nervously left a comment on a hub and bless him if he didn't fan me.
I will never forget that
Yoshi
Thank you
The person to comment on my first hub and become my fan was Benson Yeung. It was nice to be accepted.
Blondepoet was my first fan, i was so happy to see her, i read every word of every one of her hubs at the time. I was knew to computers, as well as hub pages. It was a whole new world openin up to me.
Having only been here 5 weeks, that's easy enough. Madeline Oscar noted that she was my first fan in the fan mail she left, so that makes it even easier.
Though I do not know why she followed me. She writes about computer gaming and that sort of thing, which is something I have zero interest in. Of course she probably has other interests :-)
I think the second and third might have been some of those fake people who come and go.
The first person to comment on one of my hubs was, that I remember, St.James.
first time I signed up, my first fan was Misha. I don't remember my first comment but I am pretty sure it was Bad Co. This time my first fan was Enlydia Listener, and my first comment was from
Dohn121.
The first person to comment on my first hub was Pest. Man, I miss that guy and his sense of humor! Hope all is well for him.
It is so easy to forget - but every comment is like the first for me! I must be very, very blond, or very, very old but I appreciate all the folks who bother to read and then write! It's a thrill every time. Especially if they come back - I'm really stoked then!!
I feel honored to have been mentioned
Truthfully, I have a strong kinship with all hubbers here. Though I have been away a bit, it's not for lack of hospitality here. I was just working hard to build a little site of my own ... and ... um ... it sort of went from hobby to realtime and blossomed.
And this brings me to something I would like to say to all hubbers here. Never think less of yourself for what you write or how you write it. Consider writing a gift you can share with others and do so without being selfish and keeping it all to yourself.
Open up your thoughts and let the whole world in. What happens next just might surprise you!
I've only been here for a couple of months too. It was Immartin who commented first, I was thrilled. And she fanned me as well I was so pleased I follow her consistantly. She is a great hubber.
Earnestshub was my first on both counts. He can be such a sweetheart sometimes.
Me, too! I'm shocked that I remembered that far back - I actually had to go look at my first hub and verify and, sure enough, it was earnestshub! Where's he been, anyway? Haven't seen him around in a while...
gjcody she is still here and writes all about natural medicines. She is wonderful and I will never forget her.
I remember Justine mentioning she fanned me first and when I went to return the favor I couldn't remember who had just fanned me! So, I fanned myownworld. (wow! my memory has improved sooo much over the past 5 months!! lol)
I can’t remember who might have left the first comment,
but I do know for sure Breakfastpop
( http://hubpages.com/profile/breakfastpop ) was my first follower. She is an excellent political satirist and produces new hubs daily, each one includes the satire of the day plus a spectacular breakfast recipe.
The first person to comment on my first hub was 'MyOwnWorld'. I think she became my first follower as well. Thanks MOW.
I do have some regular commenters, whom I appreciate very much too...especially:
kimberlyslyrics
Cagsil
Green Lotus
D.A.L.
billyaustindillon
Thanks one and all.
The first person to comment was Fluffymetal. Today!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited. Haha I've only been on Hubpages for a week or so.
Wow, it's been slightly over a year for me! Before joining, I had decided to read a few hubs, and it was Frogdroppings series on Kevin that had me rolling with laughter that prompted me to join. I love her hubs. One of the most memorable things after joining and publishing my first hub was Froggy was my first fan. How cool is that! She's laying low in her pond these days....but miss her humor!
FROGGY WHERE ARE YOU?!? (You told me to shout if I needed anything)
I cannot remember who my first fan was...I've got a memory like one of those pans with holes in.
...haven't been here long...but it was kimberlyslyrics...made me feel very welcome!
my first comment was from a girl in texas, no longer on the site. she wasn't very active, but I didn't know and was thrilled with my first comment and fan.
second was from europewalker!! those first few comments and fans make such an impression.
I think that Tricia and I have deleted some of our earliest hubs. This thread is so interesting that I had a look for our 'oldest' comment, and it was from kia31.
We are still excited and delighted by every comment that we receive.
Not sure my first comment, but I definitely recall my first fan. It was BadCompany99 (or one of his BC incarnations). We continue to leave each other hub comments from time to time. He'll always hold a special place with me.
My first fan was Cagsil and my first comment was from habee. Both were very encouraging!

I ask a simple question: which hubbers are the best or have lifted you up to above what you can be.It is time to give a little praise. Perhaps I should start out with a few. Nope that would be wrong. These folks that just give me a boost, take time for a critical note. Send a special comment and...

This has happened to me a few times. I'll leave a comment or give an answer in the Q&A section... and I will get attacked (for lack of a better word) by some other Hubber who has a different point of view or belief than I do.It hurts, I mean hurts. There I am trying to be a good...

What are your reasons for unfollowing a hubber?I went to the list of hubbers I follow, and I found out that many are not active on hubpages. I unfollowed everyone who has not published anything in the last 4 months. I also unfollowed the hubbers who do not comment on my hubs.

What's your take on jealousy among hubbers on Hubpages?I published a hub a few days ago. The hubscore started at 66 and has been doing great. Two nights ago the hub went to 91. A hubber left a comment on the hub - "How did you get that many followers?". The hubber did not say anything...

Plz don't tag me as one being too inquisitive, pardon me.My question sounds funny i know. But if we investigate deep,we may find out hubbers who are doing this indirectly. What do you think? Is it right or wrong lets hear from u,we all are learners till the day we die.
