Now are we doing this again? I recognise many of us are time constrained, wonderful events have occurred and life may be a little busier right now
That said - are we up for another, if so - when? I'd love to 'go team' once again, it's hugely beneficial and a great way to work. So ... wassup hubbers? We going for 60DC The Return? Or no can do?
Sunforged, our 60DC Host ... new daddy and all ... are you there? *adopts a suitable spooky timbre to voice*
I'll give it a go - it would be a great way of building upon the topics that worked last time
I was busy last time writing for a website, but now that I am not that very busy I hope I can pull through... The last challenge last time as helpful as my page impressions was doubled...
I'd too much on to take part the past time, but I'd be up for it now
This blonde isnt sure what that is Must be I wasnt around while that was going on....
I agree with kmackey, I'm not sure what it is... will you fill in the newbies?
Thanks
I'm too busy right now, but definitely think it would benefit a lot of people on here!
Well guys all we need is our intrepid leader, sunforged. Though of course it's fair we remember the work it causes him! Not so for some of us, we 'get it' now but for those that didn't do it the last time around - but those of us who are now versed in online marketing can help him
And for those who are unsure, check out sunforge, his profile. You'll find all the 60DC info on there.
I would be happy to help SF in any of the administrative work . .
hmm.. Looks like I missed a bunch of stuff while on vacation.
Well, im in
Ill make it a priority to make an official launch within the next couple of days.
Last time, no effort was placed on making suggestions about keywords - then I felt real bad when I saw some of the participants putting so much effort into topics and keywords that I felt would be dead in the water. (But, I imagine the method and concepts could still help with future works..I hope)
So this time - BEFORE we go off on a mad writing and promo spree, I have to come up with a way to make a keyword crash course or collect all the good examples of keyword selection methods ..so that is almost my only holdup
I was going to suggest finding 3-5 general niches and then finding the BEST 30 keyword strings within those niches. Before spending 60 days on this project ..please spend a few hours picking some winners for your topics ( I dont think this thread has any examples of publishers who made me concerned on this issue anyway)
Also all the "pioneers" who plunged through the first 60dc with us will be receiving an email where I will give you one free hosting account from my Hostgator reseller account ..yes, free, and I wont have any access to it either .. I just have to figure out how to pass on a secure membership w/o payment.
Ill figure it out. It might say "Hosting available for $0.00" or something along that lines, I havent tried this before.
Some other ideas to consider:
Lots of us have marketing software, but not all have the budget to buy it yet. Perhaps we can do some sharing - ie. please run this through market Samurai - shoot this into rss bot, what does Micro Niche Finder say ..etc etc.
As you can see, Im still a little scatterbrained - a few days and Ill have everything glued together
I just knew you had to be on vacation!
SF - seeing your post just now. . made my whole weekend complete! Along with some good work to now go and attack (have been using market samurai. . though it slows down my puter I dont think I could start a Hub now without using a program like it)
So glad you are back and the 60DC will happen again:)
Hope you had a great first vacation with your little princess . ..
SF, You really made my morning. Was feeling bored to do anything but you have me all charged up now. Thanks, cant wait for the official announcement!!!
P.S. Your keyword idea is great, I also went after more competitive keyword like buying an Ipad, Buying an Iphone etc. I should have selected a micro niche within it and I would have been more successful. Though overall the Apple products series is doing decently on amazon but thats just one hub contributing to it. So I would be extra careful in selecting keywords this time. I guess that why you have started another thread so that you can find the best hubs on keyword research.
I'm up for it - some of the Hubs for the first challenge performed really well, so I intend exploring those niches a little further.
Looking forward to it!
I'm in, too...
Well, after I go have a nap - what am I doing up? The sun is coming up...
I'm sure I will regret this post in the errrrrrr afternoon.
My suggestion for 60DC
1. We need to find another service for blogs if we're going to pick alternative niche in this challenge. Blogspot spam trigger was issue last time. ( We can use those old blogs in this challenge as well). Suggestion - Weebly, Tumblr,Vox or Windows Spaces Blog.
2. It'll be better if we get niche/keywords ready from the start, it helps speed up the challenge.
Good calls, Skyfire.
Another suggestion I have been thinking about is a mentoring system - if we pair new challengers with an original challenger, it should take some of the pressure off SF. I think that sheer weight of numbers was an issue last time.
@skyfire I would beg to differ with your first sugesstion. I mean blogger blogs are so easy nd fast to make and the biggest factor that I would not like to switch blogger is the easy integration of amazon. This time there would be many Christmas hub in the challenge and with the time in hand I believe they would get indexed and probably will get traffic too so I definitely see more money potential with blogger. And as for the spam trigger, why not grab the URL for the blog during the writing phase(one by one),this way we won't trigger the google bot.infact I have already claimed 3 URLs. @sufi. I really like the idea of mentoring but can't we have something like group mentoring. I mean SF,you and other talented hubber take up the task. SF will look after all things SEO and you all things related to content.and I am sure there would be many hubbers that will share the workload with you and SF.And yea,it wud be responsibility of all the 60dc pioneers to help and monitor the progress of new challengers. This way we can create an amazing support system. Though i am in for one on one mentorship as well but imagine getting individual mentoring from the likes of Sufi and SF,kings wud kill for the honor!!! V. P.S.making this post from my iPhone so bear with me if it does not appear properly.
Ah, yes we can do that in writing phase. Something like 1 blog +hubs for X niche in that phase. That way we can get around this spam trigger. I was thinking about this in terms of backlink from another domain but you've good point about earning potential on blogger.
Just thought of bumping this thread before I go to sleep!!!
ok, well - ive spent the last two days setting up the back end of my reseller account
..as promised all original challengers are now able to have their own private wordpress hosting.
Pm me through the 60dc forum for details
also reset the forum and archived all original 60dc posts into one subforum
So...no new people this time? I don't even know where the original forum is. I wanted to join this time as I have about 50 hubs to complete and need a push. Last time I was snowed under with something else.
The challenge will be open to all hubpage users just as it always was.
the first time, i tried to keep it to 12 participants..we ended up with 30.
This time, Ill attempt to keep it to 30 new participants , as many original challengers have offered to help and participate again.
..very soon, we can start again ..im just mulling over some additions and changes from what we learned our first time around
The reference to the forum just relates to a hosting account.. a thank you to the original participants ..its unrelated to the upcoming collaborative
"also reset the forum and archived all original 60dc posts into one subforum"
Not sure how to do this?
SF, has already done that and we don't have to do anything!!Looking forward for the challenge with you!!!
Thank you so much SF. That is really kind of you. That's really a nice surprise and also it means that we are hours closer to the next challenge. Catch you at the exclusive 60dc forum!!
I would love to participate. I couldn't last time, was bogged down, and regretted missing the opportunity.
Please count me in. Where do I sign up? And I think what I've read above suggests that I should go ahead and begin doing keyword research and choosing a niche or two of my own choosing to work in, correct? And then begin identifying specific hub topics, and apparently reserve a well-named blog or two? Three?
Are there any additional specific tools or such which we will be using which I should go ahead and sign up for and familiarize myself with?
I am really excited to get back into the 60dc! It is lonely out here without you people!
Can I join in? I'd really like to do this.
Actually, I'd really, really like to do this.
I am game, have tried to get into something like this for a couple of months!
Any news? I saw on the newsletter another is being formed? Let me know!
The last challenge was during tax season and a killer for me. I was always behind and never really caught up. This time I want to do it right.
BTW, even with all the screw-ups I had juggling real life and the challenge, my traffic and income continue to rise. The challenge hubs are starting to get legs slowly.
If no one minds, I would like to jump in again.
Ill launch today.
The team building phase takes a few days -so there is no reason to bang head.
Im still working out the Hows.
@Keith - would be great to have you involved again!
I would like to be in the 60 dc again. Will you notify the original members? Are you just going to post here? Thanks.
Launch today! Great!!! I am on vacation until Monday so this would be awesome!
I rarely look at the forums, and I've been chugging away at another project lately, so imagine my surprise when I read about a new 60DC in the weekly newsletter!
I don't think I will have time to fully participate in the writing part of another challenge, but re:Sufi's mentoring suggestion - I'd probably be able to take on a role like that for the newcomers...
Off to the other forum to see what's up!
Excellent! I planned on mailing all past challengers via the 60DC forum, once everything was in place, I certainly had not forgotten about your helpful involvement.
Although, the launch will be this evening, if you recall, it takes a couple of days for the team building aspect. The 60DC forum shouldnt see any activity from new users until the majority of the writing phase is complete.
I am absolutely in for observing, and reading, good luck to all
I have a checklist before launch:
Clean up 60DC Forum as to not confuse the two challenge events done
Offer Hosting to Original Challengers as promised done
Put a better focus on Keyword Research and Topic Selection BEFORE writing initial hubs by:
1. Writing a Keyword Hub done (Today)
2. Collecting a list of Keyword Selection Hubs done
(Forum thread where Hub users selected hubs)
Find someone willing to present traditional Article Marketing Information (not my strong suit, I outsource) incomplete But I have a month to solve that
Illustrate How to set up Firefox to facilitate seo/keyword research ( not done )
Write a 60DC FAQ Hub [not done] but should be quick
____________________________________________________________
Im just brainstorming on a fun way to launch and get a new set of users interested (but not to many!)
Did you see that Englightened Soul was interviewed in the HP blog?
I would like to be in this time...thank you please!
Will have to refresh on the 60DC rules and what have you though.....
I'm kinda worried about my internet connection & hub posting for this challenge(text editor & amazon capsule is responding weird for me ) . So looks like I may not be able to keep up in this challenge but i'll do everything possible from my side to help others in this challenge.

I am willing to write the thirty hubs, but do not have the computer time to manage the challenge. Is there anyone that would take on this role?

The title says it all. This is where you go to answer sunforged's question: 60 DC The Return. Don't write a short answer, click 'make a hub about it'. Title it with something related to the 60DC Return. This is an example of a 60DC Log: http://hubpages.com/_60dc/hub/Learning- … llenge-Log And...

I just noticed under my profile when I went to edit the background, about the HubPro. I have not noticed it there before. The box is checked yes as to hubs eligible to be edited by HubPro and I do not remember saying yes to this being done. Is this an automatic thing by HP and we...
