Ever thought about having a different name (in real life) ?

If you could change it what would it be?

I think if I had to change my name, I would change it to Julia.  Just because I get called that so much.  My name is Julie.

In America if you are 18 years of age, you can change your name.  So it isn't about whether or not I could, it is whether or not I would.  I thought about it once to just piss my mom off, but........., since I got called Julia so much anyways, I decided to save my cash.

Cool, I like Julia it's got such a nice feel to it as you say it.  So Julia it is.

Yeah, Julia, Julie, Judy....., elderly people get it mixed up all the time.  My dear father-in-law is one such elderly person who cannot keep my name straight.  It's comical.

I get called Katie, Kate, Kathy, Katherine, Kathleen The Kat name gives people the urge to call you whatever Kat name comes to mind so I know what you mean...

Or people ask me what Katie stands for and I say just Katie

i did change my first name legally about 4 years ago.  I didn't like my birth name and never did.  It never felt like it belonged to me.  So after years of being unhappy with it i changed it.  Interestingly enough the most common comment i get when i tell people i had it changed is that my new name suits me better.  So my thoughts are if you really want to change your name, DO IT!  lvh   hubpages > writinginalaska
