woo hoo - surely some sort of accounting error but I'm celebrating anyway
Dang, Spacey, that's awesome!!! Celebrate away, girl!
You've been here 5 months, I've been here 14! I've made a grand sum of $0- from Amazon and a whopping $14.68 from AdSense...OUCH! I'd better get my arse to HubCamp to figure out how to do what you're doing!
All kidding aside, I am planning to go to SF for the seminar since I'm so new to computers-I barely know how to copy and paste. Honest!
Wow! You've found Amazon nirvana! Congratulations.
Congrats on your "fluke" Gracey! You know what they say about hard work makes its own luck? You're proof!
Just looked at my orders report and it seems a photographer went order crazy - just hope he/she doesn't return any of it
Thanks guys. I'd love to think it was down to my stunning hubbing expertise but since most the money came from items totally unrelated to my hubs I think it is technically a fluke
Hmmm -- new idea for a HP function: a "fluke attractor" that we can paste into our hubs.
Congratulations.
Check with the whale watching tours at the coast - they all seem to have one!
I was at the local casino recently and hit a jackpot that was sooo unusual for this particular machine, I just knew it was a mistake. Did I care? Not one bit! I jumped for joy and ran to the cashier cage-so take your payout to the bank as soon as possible, then let Amazon figure it all out!
Enjoy!
I love the idea of a fluke attractor. While constructing hubs I would select a couple of photo capsules, an Amazon capsule, some text capsules, and just one 'make $1000 fluke Amazon sale from this hub' capsule
I have several high traffic hubs on topics which don't really have anything to sell... so as an alternative I tried putting a couple of very popular 'fad' products on the pages, just to get the click throughs. (e.g. new Xbox, iPad, new Kindle). This doesn't appear to have worked I actually tried this on about 20 hubs... I think I may have sold one Xbox, but that is all...
Many congrats though, I achieved a similar feat last month. Thankfully, mine wasn't a fluke
Actually that's a very bright idea-- almost as good as the fluke generator/optimizer, in fact that may be what it is.
Congratulation Spacey! I hope your luck rubs off on all of us.
Wow nice job!
Congratulations and hopefully what seems like a fluke now will become the first of many!
Congratulations, make sure that you keep your fluke attractor switched on!
Thats awesome! Great to hear people actually make money through the Amazon program haha. Something to work towards I guess =p
Thanks people. I know I am always on here tooting my own horn but when I first started I loved hearing about everyone's milestones because it helped me stay motivated.
what a difference a day made!
Yesterday dumpsville today nirvana
well done,
Well done!! it's great when you make days like that with Amazon at least or even Ebay or Adsense!
I think it is really nice to see someone really enjoying some success...well done.
There's hard work, there's perseverance, there's linking and keywords-- and occasionally there's the lotto win.
It makes me think-- there must be thousands, hundreds of thousands of people who go directly to websites to buy stuff on line.
How can we get them here first??
-- other than the fluke optimizer?
Congrads, you deserve it! If you have enough content out there every once in a while you'll get the big payoff that has no rhyme or reason.
That's awesome, Spacey! Isn't it great when the hard work bears fruit, even if not the kind you thought it would?
Congrats! You can't win the lottery if you don't play. Fluke or not, you have plenty of Hubs with the opportunity for that Amazon jackpot.
Went to bed last night with just a few comments on this thread and so it was a nice surprise to find all these lovely messages this morning.
Rochelle I have definietly been leaning towards the fad/ fashionable items rather than evergreen stuff which is definitely contributing to the traffic, which has increased the chances of a spending spree.
I still have so much to learn but there are only so many hours in a day I can dedicate to stalking Ryan...... I mean learning from Ryan.

I have seen you at 99. Time and time again. I have suspected you of having a 100, but could not catch you in the act. Tonight there it was. And I was ready with my snipper tool at hand. Damn those elusive numbers. What do they mean and how do they know? I...

I have been here for a year and have published just 38 hubs. I am very happy to see that my hubs have been viewed 100,000 times.

I have been watching my page view numbers every day for the last few months and finally hit 100,000 tonight. BUT...now I want to get the 1 million accolade before I have finished 2 years on HP. I plugged the numbers in my Windows calculator---I will need to hit 2400 page views per day, every day,...
