You've been here 5 months, I've been here 14!  I've made a grand sum of $0- from Amazon and a whopping $14.68 from AdSense...OUCH! smile  I'd better get my arse to HubCamp to figure out how to do what you're doing!
All kidding aside, I am planning to go to SF for the seminar since I'm so new to computers-I barely know how to copy and paste.  Honest!

Congrats on your "fluke" Gracey!  You know what they say about hard work makes its own luck?  You're proof!

Thanks guys. I'd love to think it was down to my stunning hubbing expertise but since most the money came from items totally unrelated to my hubs I think it is technically a fluke big_smile

Hmmm -- new idea for a HP function: a "fluke attractor" that we can paste into our hubs.

      Congratulations.

I was at the local casino recently and hit a jackpot that was sooo unusual for this particular machine, I just knew it was a mistake.  Did I care?  Not one bit!  I jumped for joy and ran to the cashier cage-so take your payout to the bank as soon as possible, then let Amazon figure it all out!
      Enjoy!

I love the idea of a fluke attractor. While constructing hubs I would select a couple of photo capsules, an Amazon capsule, some text capsules, and just one 'make $1000 fluke Amazon sale from this hub' capsule smile

I have several high traffic hubs on topics which don't really have anything to sell... so as an alternative I tried putting a couple of very popular 'fad' products on the pages, just to get the click throughs. (e.g. new Xbox, iPad, new Kindle). This doesn't appear to have worked lol I actually tried this on about 20 hubs... I think I may have sold one Xbox, but that is all...

Many congrats though, I achieved a similar feat last month. Thankfully, mine wasn't a fluke wink

Actually that's a very bright idea-- almost as good as the fluke generator/optimizer, in fact that may be what it is.

There's hard work, there's perseverance, there's linking and keywords-- and occasionally there's the lotto win.
It makes me think-- there must be thousands, hundreds of thousands of people who go directly to websites to buy stuff on line.
How can we get them here first?? smile big_smile big_smile-- other than the fluke optimizer? smile

Went to bed last night with just a few comments on this thread and so it was a nice surprise to find all these lovely messages this morning.

Rochelle I have definietly been leaning towards the fad/ fashionable items rather than evergreen stuff which is definitely contributing to the traffic, which has increased the chances of a spending spree.

I still have so much to learn but there are only so many hours in a day I can dedicate to stalking Ryan...... I mean learning from Ryan.
