Almost there........1200 followers and half a million pageviews

   I'm dangerously close to 1200 followers......and half a million pageviews.  At the current rate, I'm due to hit it in the next 48 hours.  It would mean a lot to me to hit it before Thursday. Just a month or two ago, I was hoping to hit it by my birthday, but I'm going to hit it a month earlier. 
   
   The point to this is to wish me luck.....and to convey to others that even though you may have just started with HP and feel that 500,000 views is a million miles away....it comes around quicker than you think.   
   
   The secret? 
   
   Keep writing, keep learning, and have fun while doing it.

         Congrats!  As you well know, it's not necessarily the followers that give you the pageviews.  You're looking for outsiders for the views if you're wanting to make money.  Having both is nice though.

      500,000 page views. Awesome. That does seem far away. You've only been on hubpages six months longer than I and have written twice as many hubs as I. I only have 67,000 page views and 280 followers. You must write on more relevant topics and be friendlier and better lookin' .  Congrats.

         You know the saying....you throw enough mud against the wall, some of it's gonna stick......that's my motto when it comes to hub writing.  I write about things I know and/or interest me.  Sometimes, I write a winner and sometimes I don't.  Wish all 300 were performing like the top 10 do.

       Thanks, Randy!  200,000 is awesome!  You'll get that other 300,000 in no time.  The thousands really do come around faster once you get in the groove.  Definitely, need to crank out more hubs myself!

    Just checked my pageviews.....it could hit tomorrow, the 26th, but might go into the 27th.  It's hard to tell.  One of my best performing hubs is a Halloween hub and it's going through the roof right now.  However, by Monday it will fall off the face of the earth again.  It devasted me last year.  I got so caught up in the Halloween frenzy and then watched my numbers tank the next day.  I had lots of Christmas hubs, but they just didn't pick up fast enough to take the place of the drop after Halloween.  I'm a bit more mentally prepared this year...(I think).....someone may have remind me of this comment next week.

    My theory - trying to achieve these milestones when you are close is a little like watching a pot boil - it seems to take ages and ages.  Then you achieve them and the stats seem to race away.

       lol.......Wordscribe.....that's too cute.  My husband and I were discussing the gender of this dancer.  He assumed it was male and I assumed it was female.  Part of my argument is the wideness of the hips.  LOL  Not sure I've seen many males that dance that way either.   Particularly when she flops her head forward and shimmies a bit.  lol

       Thank you so much!  I remember so vividly being discouraged once upon a time and wondering how on earth I would ever get 10,000 pageviews.  Now here I sit with half a million.  I'm really grateful to all my followers here at HP and all the internet surfers out in the real world who happen to come across my hubs and give me a minute of their time. 
       
       I've had another record-breaking adsense month too.  I am thrilled....hence the happy dance.
