Wow, have hit 600 followers, how long before I get 1,000? Anyone?

   I have just this week hit 600 followers, something I never thought I would see on Hub Pages. Thanks to everyone for this! Big hugs all round. Just wondering when does one usually hit 1,000 followers? Any ideas?

         Wendy, I thought 500 was a lot! LOL! I used to try discover some formula for this, but it seems there isn't any. Oh well, I am very content with this!

      Well done!  Looks like you are up to 605! 
      
      I guess it all depends on how much content you publish plus activity in the forums and comments on other people's hubs.  I know that PDH is extremely active here, for example, and she has loads of followers, but I think she follows quite a lot too.  I dont know where she gets the time!!  She always amazes me as to how she gets around!
      
      Then I have seen others who have been here 2+ years and they have a very small followship.
      
      So, it just depends on participation.

      And may I say Cheeky Girl a hearty congratulations. You deserve all 600 as you do write really good Hubs. As for 1000 in your case I anticipate soon. In my case I am targeting year seven that I am here !

   I wouldn't worry about reaching 1000. It's probably in the future for you, but nothing to worry about.

   Thanks Cagsil and Irish, I appreciate the comments. Some writers have fewer hubs and more followers than me, so it really is dependent on many things, I suspect.

   I've discovered that followers, like money, snowballs.
   
   I only hit 300 a few months ago and I've been gaining 10-20 a week since then.
   
   However I'm sure there must be an end somewhere - despite all the new users there are just only SO many people who use the forums and are likely to see you on the site. So I'm sure it slows to a trickle eventually (maybe?).
