Okay so I'm very new here but not new to the net or to writing.
I run two websites, both of which have an Amazon store (one has been running for 4 years) and neither store has ever gained me single cent.
After a couple of weeks on hubpages and only a few hubs made I just checked my Amazon account and I've made $2.02! I checked and it was my Hubpages ID :-)
Ok, so it's not an earth-shattering amount but it's a start and having done a lot of reading, I am beginning to see why my websites have never converted!
Oh, and I made my first 3 cents on adsense from hubpages (that usually does ok on my website but looking to improve that this year as well with everything I'm learning here).
So thanks to all for the tips and advice offered here and through the hubs. It just goes to show that if you follow the advice of those who have walked their talk, it can be done!
Here's to the next dollar :-)
Amazon is much harder to earn things on, unless you make a habit of reviewing things or offering how-to tips and linking to the things and materials.
Google Adsense is much easier, once you got it started. Write about the things you know and love, esp. how-to or reviews, and you will eventually see a paycheck.
I've cashed two checks from Adsense, but it took me well over a year to get there. First check took 8 months. Second check took 4. Hopefully next one will take only two.
thats pretty good, its better than i did in my first two weeks!!Well done
That is great. I think lots of people who perhaps didn't do so well with their own websites start making money with Hubpages, learn from the experience and then go back and do better with their webpages... !
Congrats! HubPages is a great way to get your writing noticed...and make money.
Glad to see it's happening now for you!
well done, you are on a roll, keep on writing and the money should start trickling in
That's fantastic! Amazon is one of my streamline incomes, a pretty good one so just keep at it. IL just passed new income tax laws increasing taxes 66% so now Amazon has dropped all IL affiliates I believe. Anyone else running into this??? Am I supposed to remove all my amazon capsules from my hubs now??? If so, I will be so upset, it can turn into a descent income!
I hope someone answers you, because I'm in the same boat.
Hi She-rah, I've not long joined hubs. I didn't appear to have any problems signeing up to amazon for my hubs, I recived my number, but I've not earned anything yet. Hope what you've heard is not true, I also hope I've done everything right as I'm still figureing all this out. Please keep me posted. Thanks.
OOPS, She-rah, I'm very sorry, I made a mistake, it was Google I had sucsess with. SORRY.
That's OK, lol Are you from IL as well?! I will let you know if I here anything further about IL residents and amazon. I'm so irritated over this!!!
Just checked out your profile, Nope, your not from IL, lol. I don't think you'll have any problems.
Congratulations. I remember the first $.05 (nickel) I earned and how most people thought I was crazy for being so excited over a nickel. But it made earning money on the internet real for me. Stay in the spirit of learning.
Hi Leah congratulation, although you take a very long journey to get your first adsense money but I'm sure you're on the right direction now.
Keep on writing and learning
Congrats, that is very good. I have had 330 Amazon click and not one sale since I started. Depressing!!
Congratulations, Leah! I didn't earn a cent during my first month but when I saw my first 14 cents earnings the first day of my second month, I was so thrilled I also announced it here! I'm now on my second month and my Adsense earning is going up steadily and my Amazon sales is outgrowing my Adsense, since we get more money in Amazon. Congrats again and keep on hubbing.
Have a nice day,
Rosie
Congrats. I know how you feel because I just made my first dollar last week.
Congrats:) First money whether it is adsense or amazon is a happy movement. Keep it up.

I almost fell off my chair! I had come to accept that it was never going to happen, but it really has, I've just made $ .68! Now, I'm excited. I'm hoping to double my earnings in '09!Wow! The same week that I hit my first $100 in AdSense, too. It's been a good week.

I have deleted my adsense account myself. And was just wondering if I can still earn money on hubpages with my amazon. Thanks

I honestly can't believe it. But I've checked my spreadsheet half a dozen times. Yes, I just hit the $1,000 threshold for November. (There could be an Amazon return or two tommorrow which will ruin the fun, but for now I'm enjoying the digits.)I'm only running, Amazon, Ebay, and Adsense on hubs...

Prior to last month my idea of promoting Ebay was to stick an Ebay capsule at the end of my Amazon hubs, I made about $10 bucks a month doing that.So my first lesson was you want to make real money from any affiliate program - including Ebay - you have to design a hub to promote the products and...
