After 18 months on Hubpages I have finally made my first $150 which is the threshold for payment through Adsense for Australians.
So you can make money here on Hubpages but it does require time and effort. Good luck everyone and happy Hubbing!
Wow! I'm really happy for you! Congratulations! I haven't made any money here on hubs, mostly because my adsense application was turned down. But it's really fun doing blogs on Hubpages!
Yes, congratulations, I just reached mine too!!!
Then its back to the grindstone for the next pay!!!!
But it is fun and worth it!
Actually, I think that the two of you should be buying for the house!
Congrats, LeonJane - it's a great milestone to reach.
congrats! I've only made about $1.48 so far on here, I've got quite a ways to go still!
Well done, it's always great to hear when the hard work starts to pay off.
Thats awesome. Congrats.
Heres hoping they get quicker from here on.
Congratulations! Always good to know others are getting somewhere. You'll be getting monthly payouts before you know it.
I'm at £8.00 only £52 to go to i can lift my money out. I think i need to get some serious writing head on...
Really well done, and I admire your patience for hanging in there for 18 months.... Make sure you spend it all on you as your really deserve it
We've been on about the same amount of time. That's why I need to follow you and watch how you do it.
I think the real kicker for me is that I only have about three hubs that people religiously come to me for. I just wish I knew more unique subjects.
Congrats. It took me a few months to get to my first $100 with Adsense. Now I earn thousands per month with all of my websites and everything.
You can definitely make money, but it takes time. It also helps if you have a few websites, and don't just rely on one source.
well done and hope the next $150+ comes all the faster. This proves that patience and persistence pay off. I am about 14 days in now and would barely be able to buy a burger and fries with my Adsense earnings. Nothing through my Amazon sales yet but I'm learning more and more each day and most importantly it is a lot of fun. That's why I started writing to begin with and had no idea about the affiliate marketing and generating revenue through Adesne and the other programs. That's just a bonus. Thanks for sharing.
If your australian, Im australian, I just made my $150 too, maybe we should meet at a pub half way between where ever when we reach our first $1000 and celebrate!
COngrats!!! I have 3,478 page impressions from a previous site and only made an estimated 02 cents : ) I'm happy to know that it's possible to make that much.
I am Australian, will take me some time to reach $1000, probably 5 years!
I think the times you write and dont earn money, give you more strenght and motivation for the times when money flows. You also get to understand what you are good at writing about, why others do so well and how to find ways to improve.
Congratulations on receiving your first Adsense payout, LeonJane! Cheers to this payout and to your next Adsense payout!
wow, congrats, I haven't even done that yet, but I admit I do not put in the hours, being a single mom of two little ones ,I just don't have the time, like I would enjoy, but its still a great experience so far...

Hi hubbers, I made my very first Amazon sale two days ago and you can guess how I feel right now. I know there are hubbers who make several sales a day, but this is a very big milestone to me worth sharing. This is a big boost on earnings and now I have all the reasons to get back hubbing. Thank...

No, I haven't yet made my AdSense payout (though I'm getting there), but I've had a really good Amazon month, so between the two of them, I've finally reached triple digits in sales! It's not enough to live on -- yet -- but for me, $100 is a big milestone, especially since I've earned more than half...
