I really want to know if we can do something about the sexy google ads...I can see if it was on related hubs..but I have had a hub with cookie recipes up for a month or so and today it is showing those ads?
THIS IS NOT COOL!
It did not used to be this way..ads like that were up for maybe a few hours when the hub was first published and then it went to related ads.
Not that this is going to hurt anyone's feelings but I am at the point of seriously having to decide if I want to continue writing here just because of those things.
Please can't something be done about it? I love hubpages but not those ads.
Ummm, I spent some time exploring your slow cooker hub - and I can't for a life of me figure out why Google serves dating sites ads there. May be because arab and filipina girls are supposed to be able to cook?
I don;t know...that is what I am saying MIsha...LOL!
I do know that on my food blog I have been linked to by ALOT of porn sites...My husband says that it is because after guys...uhh..you know...they are usually hungry.
Sexy Filipina girl ads are all over my apple cake recipe hub. Seriously?
......and on my CAREER HUBS it shows - "How to get a Flat Belly" - -
I am sick of seeing that "5 tips for a flat stomach," ad.
it is like a slap in the face every time I visit one of my high-fat, full cream recipes
OK, OK, I get it - I am fat !
that is better than the email I keep getting that says "This is why you are fat.."
I am only a size 10, and I have had 8 kids...cut me some slack...
I just checked our your apple cake Hub as well and it seems to be pulling up relevant ads, too.
Check it out:
But it isn't consistant. There may be relevant ads one time and the next time not...I don;t want those stupid ads EVER to show up personally. I can't tell you how much I dislike them.
On an average day, checking say 50 hubs randomly, I will have the sex ads showing on probably 15 hubs at least once.
As I said, I know it used to be that way right after you published, but never after the first day. In the past month this has been happening more and more.
And if it is happenign to Stacie too then it isn't just me.
Thanks for looking into it Ryan.
This isn't something that we can solve ourselves. We're working with someone from AdSense on a solution, but so far they haven't made any workable recommendations.
Thanks Paul and Ryan.
Perhaps sending Unca Guido after them?
I guess there's not much that can be done at this point, but I have a similar issue with my political hubs. I am unapologetically a Democrat who is 100 percent behind Obama. I've written some hubs recently about McCain and Palin which are getting great traffic, and yet the ads that are showing up are asking "Is Obama Ready to be President" and "Is Obama Finished?"
I understand to a certain degree we can't expect everything to be right, but to put ads like that on a page asking the same question about Sarah Palin just doesn't make sense.
Now I see what you are talking about, looking through hubs today (while logged in) EVERY page was singles ads from AdSense (Crash your's included). These were not my own hubs that I was researching but others written, most about politics. This is really not good, if they keep it up I don't see how revenue can be good...
I thought those were just on there when we were looking at our own... you mean that is what others are seeing? Doesn't seem beneficial to Google or Us, unless Google gets money just for showing it maybe? Do we get anything on that?

A couple days back I was following a thread (Link Here) where SunSeven was talking about a hub that was taken down because the ads "started showing Google Public Interest" ads.Nelle Hoxie made a comment about how that stuff is bad and can cost you your adsense account. ...

I wrote a recipe hub and wanted to add some recommended cookbooks at the end. I created an Amazon capsule and selected the cookbooks. When I previewed the capsule, it said "No Amazon products found." I deleted it and tried again, this time letting it use keywords to select products...

So, I was checking out my Adsense report when I noticed, starting yesterday, I had received 0 ad impressions from HubPages. Uh oh! My first concern was that I had been kicked off of all SERPS, but nope. I'm still getting traffic from Google. A quick look at my Hubs shows the real problem!...
