I really want to know if we can do something about the sexy google ads...I can see if it was on related hubs..but I have had a hub with cookie recipes up for a month or so and today it is showing those ads?
    THIS IS NOT COOL!

It did not used to be this way..ads like that were up for maybe a few hours when the hub was first published and then it went to related ads.

Not that this is going to hurt anyone's feelings but I am at the point of seriously having to decide if I want to continue writing here just because of those things.

Please can't something be done about it? I love hubpages but not those ads.

      Hey Marye,

I just took a look at your slow cooker Hub and it looks the the ads that are being displayed are super-relevant to your Hub. Check out the screenshot that I just took:

Are you still seeing ads that shouldn't be there?

Ummm, I spent some time exploring your slow cooker hub - and I can't for a life of me figure out why Google serves dating sites ads there. May be because arab and filipina girls are supposed to be able to cook? smile

These ads are displayed on Cost Per Day basis, CPD.......Not much profitable if they are not targeted using Google ad manager

    Hey Stacie,

I just checked our your apple cake Hub as well and it seems to be pulling up relevant ads, too.

    Check it out:

But it isn't consistant.  There may be relevant ads one time and the next time not...I don;t want those stupid ads EVER to show up personally.  I can't tell you how much I dislike them.

On an average day, checking say 50 hubs randomly, I will have the sex ads showing on probably 15  hubs at least once.

As I said, I know it used to be that way right after you published, but never after the first day.  In the past month this has been happening more and more.

And if it is happenign to Stacie too then it isn't just me.

Thanks for looking into it Ryan.

This isn't something that we can solve ourselves.  We're working with someone from AdSense on a solution, but so far they haven't made any workable recommendations.

I guess there's not much that can be done at this point, but I have a similar issue with my political hubs. I am unapologetically a Democrat who is 100 percent behind Obama. I've written some hubs recently about McCain and Palin which are getting great traffic, and yet the ads that are showing up are asking "Is Obama Ready to be President" and "Is Obama Finished?"

I understand to a certain degree we can't expect everything to be right, but to put ads like that on a page asking the same question about Sarah Palin just doesn't make sense.

Now I see what you are talking about, looking through hubs today (while logged in) EVERY page was singles ads from AdSense (Crash your's included).  These were not my own hubs that I was researching but others written, most about politics.  This is really not good, if they keep it up I don't see how revenue can be good...

I thought those were just on there when we were looking at our own... you mean that is what others are seeing?  Doesn't seem beneficial to Google or Us, unless Google gets money just for showing it maybe?  Do we get anything on that?
