   Somehow a spam email was sent to all the contacts in my Gmail address book. If you got that email, I'm sorry.

      did you run a virus scan? It's usually a virus or trojan that does that.

    It might have nothing to do with your computer.  Some malware might have pulled your name out of somebody else's address book and spoofed it.  (It's happened to me once.)
