I originally put 356 (31-21), but then I figured it might take around 10 days for all of us to actually die...
It all depends on how it happens. Will the triggering event be instantly all-encompassing or will it start localized and then spread?

My dollar-store wall-calendar says we're good at least for 2013. I place my complete trust in those dollar-store wall-calendars. They haven't failed me yet.

What will be the excuses after the world doesn't end on December 21, 2012?After the world continues to exist and people continue with their lives, what will people be saying next? Will people try and explain why the world didn't end or will they start predicting the next day of our demise?

No!! So, why should we Christians continue using the Gregorian Calendar which confused us totally? Originally, January was the 11th month on that calendar and the 12th month was February. And it was more closely related to the Biblical Calendar, which began around March-April.
