Great News. My grandson is about to arrive in the next three weeks! They don't have a name picked for him yet!
Thank you everyone so much! I just got back from the hospital and got to hold him finally!! Such a quiet baby so far.........
Oooohhh, something cute for the holidays! Congratulations, Dorsi!
How wonderful for you Dorsi - congratulations to you and yours and a great big Welcome to Zachary Alan.
Congratulations! And is there a story behind his name? If you don't mind, that is. I'm interested in names and the story or history behind them
Yes Chris there is a story- Zachary is because the parents just liked the name, Alan is after my dads (Zachs grandpa who died in 2003) Alan was his first name, and he was a WW 2 vet who served on the USS North Carolina, in the pacific in Guadacanal. The USS North Carolina is one of the most famous battleships of all time, in more battles in naval history than other. My dad was a an officer, a chief petty officer, and the first person on the ship to hear when Pearl Harbor was bombed, he was the chief radio officer at the time.
Alan is also my brothers middle name.
I wish my dad could be here to see Zach, he was a wonderful man and I miss him greatly. OK, here comes the tears......thanks for asking about Zachs name, I am so proud that they named his middle name Alan after my dad......
I am so sorry to have you go through that during such a joyous occasion, but i appreciate your sharing such an inspiring story. My father was a WW2 vet too, and I was named after him. I am sure your boy Zach would be as proud of his name as you are of your father. Again, congratulations
OH NO!! Zach has really severe jaundice- it started yesterday but his bilirubin levels are getting worse!! I'm so worried- when my sons had jaundice they got better, not worse!
I'm so worried...the poor little guy......

At last! I have finally had my first Amazon sale. It took 384 click but I'm finally there, my conversion rate is now 0.26! Yay.Weirdly the first item I sold has nothing to do with the items I have put on my Hubs, but I'm not complaining. A sale is a sale.

We just found out my daughter is having a girl. They already have two boys and were hoping and praying for a little girl. This will help with my "grandchild ratio." Now the score will be five to three!
